only thing is this sucker gets hot. worst cooling design ever. I can prop it up but it really pisses me off

^yeah i might have to invest in a wire rack or something. right now it sits on a stack of post-it notes 2 high on all the corners i just hate not being able to use it on my lap in my bed. the intake is right wehre your leg would be if you sat it on your lap. side or rear exhausts morons!

the db moved over fine, i just had to modify how the script connected to the mysql db, the banners picked up basically where they left off... the stats should be accurate.

^^^ I wouldn't bother with a rack. Your solution should work as well. There are laptop fan/stands that run off USB if you are really serious. I've never tried them. IMHO don't sacrafice funtionality for Folding. There is an option in the advanced setup to pause folding while on battery power. This maybe useful for you.

this is due to the fact that queue.dat and the work folder was deleted, if you had kept those files and re-installed, it would have continued where it left off.

no problems here, check your internet / firewall connections, also try restarting the clients

^^ Finally found the root of that problem. I left all the machines on, but a few were turned off after I left, and the biggest problem is that my P4 lab lost it's internet because both of the Cisco switches died. We're working on that though and it'll be back up ASAP.
