yeah I honestly don't full trust the system and will probably successfully get gamed by bad actors (perhaps even including Elon)

I'm just glad it's highlighting the fact that a lot of the conflict we see on social (and traditional/legacy/alt/new/etc) media are in the end manufactured disinformation/psyops efforts, whether foreign in origin or domestic. Cambridge Analytica wasn't that long ago and most people go around acting like that kind of stuff hasn't just gotten so much more sophisticated and that more countries and organizations aren't getting in on the action.

they show a little information emoji disclaimer if they think you're using VPN (but it's not super visible or clear imo). for low sophistication efforts to use VPN it'll likely be detectable with like maybe 80-90% accuracy I'd guess, but any groups with high sophistication will probably be able to evade it if they set up their own infrastructure
