I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks. I got this dress in a light kelly green and these shoes in the multi. http://www.jcrew.com/womens_factory_category/knitwovendresses/PRDOVR~20704/99102372583/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~205+17+4294966534~15~~~~~~~/20704.jsp http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?skuId=086086050&productId=69163&subCatId=cat310026&catId=cat10088&lotId=086086

What kind of jewelry should I get to go with it? I got some chunky colorful stuff from target this afternoon but i thought it fought too much with the shoes. But I think simple silver necklace will be too boring.

I'm a fan of a long gold pendant style necklace

or a simple gold necklace with a little charm

or layering the two (or more) heres an extreme example

i just wanted to post my two new fav color combos that i can't get enough of

1. navy and turquoise

2. coral and mustard yellow

this coming from a girl that loves neutrals is kind of cray cray. but color is my few fav thing!!

me too! coral is my #1 new fav color. i was doing laundry and realized i have collected quite a few coral pieces hahaha. i need to stop. its gotten out of hand!

turquoise is my other fav right now. i can't get enough.

finally, a close third, is green. but green is something i'm careful with. i know there are bad shades of all colors, but i feel like green has A LOT of bad shades haha.

i also like salmon

coral looks really good on me, so I like to wear it.

I am one of the few that does well in coral and salmon.

I had a terrible night terror last night. I don't know what I did but I twisted my neck so bad the pain woke me up. Apparently I hit my (bad) foot, too. /bitch and moan.

I wish they had this in my size

I've been looking everywhere for more maxi dresses, but all of them are strapless or have the baby straps to hold the dress up and I just can't do strapless bras anymore. Any suggestions for places to look?

would one like this work? not baby straps but not the widest strap...you could still wear a bra with it easily (a regular bra):

(found on zappos.com)

old navy...the straps look weird (like they might be really wide set or something) so def would need to try it on. but they are wide enough to wear w/ a bra.

old navy again.

nordstrom

nordstrom (racerback but it has a wider strap so if you had a convertible or racerback bra you could prob still do a bra w/ it)

i'd look at places like macy's, nordstrom, gap/old navy/banana republic, maybe ann taylor (but their shit seems unreasonably expensive lately), and if you aren't a member of ideeli.com or a site like it, i'd suggest becoming one. they've had lots of maxis on recently and yesterday or the day before they had some with wide straps (but i can't remember the brand so that is unhelpful)!!

I got this dress to wear to a pretty stellar wedding June 11th. I wish I had a slammin' hat to wear with it. We shall see.

June 11th is mine and Ken's [6th] anniversary, too!

Awesome swimsuit, Nerdchick!!!

I need help! I need a new haircut, and my sister is taking me to the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill on Thursday.

This is what my hair looks like now:

Long and boring. I have a diagonal side bang thing that is forever getting in my way.

Anyone have any advice or pictures of something that might look nice? I am open to any hair style, but it either has to be long enough to pull back or short enough to not touch my neck. I don't blow dry or flat iron my hair, and I never use products, but I guess I could handle a change in my morning routine.

I've been doing more or less the same haircut for 10 years, or letting it get very long. I like to do stuff with color to change it up.
