(I like that last one...partly for the look on her face, and partly because of the dude riding the shopping cart like a kid in the background, hahaha)

My twin boys will be celebrating their first birthday next month ( what a long, quick year it's been). Any gift ideas. Since the boys wont remember this birthday, I am looking for something that they can use/see well after this birthday.

I've considered getting them lifetime fishing and hunting licenses, but we dont fish or hunt enough for that to actually be useful. Any other thoughts?

Savings bonds don't mature enough for it to matter. Invest in established utilities or mutual funds.

lifetime hunting and fishing licenses

even if they only buy a license for a handful of years over their whole life, it will be cheaper. remember, NC requires a saltwater license now, so they would need a license even if they want to dick around fishing on the beach or pier during a vacation. have to buy it before their 1st bday for the huge savings.

^ YES

My dad bought Henry (4 years old now) a lifetime fishing and hunting pass for his 1st birthday present.

And he just sent off for Carter's (6months) the other day

We got Abby her lifetime hunting/fishing license. It makes a lot more sense if you plan on staying in the same state though.

It's so cheap before their 1st Bday that even if they move out of state and just come back and buy an out of state license that is good for a few days it'll pay for itself after just a handful of times. I'm planning to give them to any nieces and nephews for their first Xmas.

"lifetime hunting and fishing licenses"

Great suggestion. I seriously looked into this about 6 months ago because I heard it was a great deal, but I never got into hunting and fish infrequently enough that it would actually be cheaper just to buy a license when we actually go sometime in the future. We are more of a golfing family. But talk me out of it if I am overlooking something.

We ended up getting them a Laura Park painting from ArtSource for their playroom. Fits perfect.

If the kids are under 1, it's so cheap that it's stupid not to buy it.

Nice try bbehe but we still aren't paying child support. TWW doesn't get enough ad revenue to pay for diapers

Obligatory Halloween photo. Even thought we didn't do anything, we can show him later in a baby book and lie that it was his first trick-or-treat or whatever.

Time flies! My wife was emotional all weekend thinking about him "growing up". It is crazy how quickly they change and we'll definitely miss his baby/infant/toddler stages as he gets older. But the ride is pretty fun.
