Crypto isn't dead you just have to understand what is going on and adapt. Crypto was starting to take off and the banks used their governments to take action to suppress it. This will only delay the inevitable. Banks cannot defeat technology forever.

Reading the misinformed negative posts like the ones here give me a lot more hope. This website's users represent a well-educated, tech-savy, millennial demographic that will be among the first to understand the world of crypto and to see that there is still not much understanding regarding things as simple as difficulty shows we are probably much earlier along in the process than I thought.

The key here is to remember its not about how fast mass-adoption takes place, but that you get in well advance of mass adoption. Following the price on a daily basis is a bit silly at this point. We are several years away from the general public even finding out about the tech.

I have stopped trading and stopped investing in mining equipment and have devoted all of my focus to bounty programs, airdrops, as well as building up accounts and selling them. Once you get some bounties going on several platforms, you are going to be one of the top holders of that coin. If the coin meets its roadmap, you will make a killing and if it fizzles, you haven't lost anything but time.

I've turned this into a steady passive income by selling youtube/twitter account combinations with several bounties bringing in residual coin drops. My passive income is currently 75% mining. 15% account sales and 10% staking which is very different from a year ago.

That is not counting to vast amounts of prerelease coins I am accumulating through bounties and airdrops. The coins have no value because they have not hit the market yet but the hypothetical values of these coins if they ever make it to market blows my mind.

PM me on twitter @cryptocommies for serious private discussion.

This has become a joke

https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/bitcoin-permabull-tom-lee-slashes-end-of-year-price-forecast-to-15000

Oh, thanks for slashing your forecast from 25k to 15k, but WTF makes you or would make anybody think that it would triple in price in the next 6 weeks???

^ But Bloomberg analysts say it will fall to $1.5k, though they don't mention a timeline.

Enjoy the ride, boys!

Asking for a friend...

I, I mean they, are looking where to buy BTC online besides Coinbase or Gemini... they take 5 days to transfer (I'm not paying $30 to wire transfer). I tried localbitcoins before but that was a little too sketchy for me and the rates were too high. I also tried a few places in town (CLT) but they also are sketchy and have high fees.

Suggestions?

Spread it out ^

I buy a little every other week. On big run ups i may increase the buys and unload a bit when I feel near the top. Still think 40 was the top for now and this will probably continue to pull back a bit.

It briefly went over 40 again today.

~2011 - peaks at $30, drops to $2
~2014 - peaks at $1000, drops to $200
~2017 - peaks at $20k, drops to $3k
~2020/2021 - peaks at ?

The increase from one low to the next high?
-500x
-100x
-?

Another 5 fold drop in increase would be 20x from previous low or $60k.

Based on the history of peaks and my own cluelessness that's my guess.

Barring a surprise technological advancement, I'm not sure how btc could ever go to zero. Every time someone writes another "bitcoin is dead" article they're using the exact same arguments they've used for the past decade.

Of course, I fully expect the bubble to pop soon and it to drop near $20k within a year, as is tradition.

Funny shit, didn't expect DOGE would be my biggest win in the last year. Moved half this morning to BTC.

I don't know why I trade stocks and options.

probably because it feels like a more professional version of gambling that you can attribute to skill and knowledge rather than just luck.
