^^^^ Although winning cures all, they could've displayed some of that initiative to spend money last year instead of sending out a lame duck team and expecting fans to pay for it. My family gave up their season tickets based on those decisions. 7/25/2011 6:30:10 PM |

I'm done going to every game, even when they're good. It dominates your whole day. Give me Sunday Ticket and good seats to 3-4 big games a year. 7/25/2011 7:31:13 PM |

it dominates your Sunday in a good way though...wake up early, get drunk as shit, go to the game, watch some of the 4 oclock games when you get home before you pass out, wake up later that night, go out and watch the sunday night game and eat something
preseason games are the shit though, start tailgating at like 3 or 4 on a saturday, get drunk as shit, sleep it off the next day 7/25/2011 7:38:20 PM |

also signing Ryan Pugh (center, Auburn)
so that's 3 of Auburn's offense last year, that they will have gotten so far, right? 7/25/2011 9:14:53 PM |

We have to make at least some kind of splash with UFAs. I'm afraid its gonna be a bunch of back up corners and 3rd string TE's. I want Jerry to spend every fucking dollar. Don't leave a nickel in reserve.

Davis to be around for at least one more year, unless they give him a long term contract this week
Quote : | "Although the world assumed Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis would be an unrestricted free agent, it turns out he’s not.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, a little-known-rule from 2010 has taken Davis off the market. Since he spent the entire 2010 season on the physically-unable-to-perform (PUP) list, Davis’ 2010 contract terms have tolled over to 2011.
Clayton reports that Davis remains under contract for $3.268 million in 2011. He missed all of 2010 after suffering a major knee injury during offseason workouts. Davis also suffered a knee injury in 2009 and was recovering when he injured it again.
Clayton says a source said the team wants to sign Davis to a long-term contract. When healthy, Davis is viewed as one of the league’s top outside linebackers. If he can get back to full speed, Carolina could have one of the league’s top linebacker groups.
James Anderson will be an unrestricted free agent and the Panthers hope to keep him. Carolina also has Jon Beason and Dan Connor." |

Mixed feelings here a bit, but Burney is a guy who absolutely should've been drafted. Yeah he ran poorly and yeah he's small, but he plays fast, he's physical, and he's got great instincts. Biased aside, this is a great signing.7/25/2011 11:31:10 PM |

Any chance they take a look at a Hasselbeck or someone like that? 1-year rental till Cam is hopefully ready. I don't know if Dallas kept Jon Kitna, but he would be a good choice. I've always thought he was a good QB on shitty teams and never got respect. 7/26/2011 11:48:19 AM |
