Al Udeid, Qatar
Baghdad, Iraq (only for a week)
Kandahar, Afghanistan (only for a week)
Bagram, Afghanistan

plus training detachments in Yuma, AZ, El Centro, CA, USS Reagan, and stopovers in the Azores (x2), Kuwait, Sicily, and Crete...and cross countries for a day or a weekend all over the place back in CONUS.

Naval Flight Officer ("Goose") flight instructor back in Pensacola, FL. Been either the flight or academic instructor of the quarter for all 3 squadrons here on the base for the last five quarters in a row.

I'll be getting out next summer.

Nope. Not on active duty, anyway.

Promotions are going really slow right now; I'd be at 10.5 years before even getting selected for promotion, and then I bet it would take at least another year before I actually pinned it on...so that would be probably 11.5-12 years! Either way, the community I came from is dysfunction as hell, and I'm not going back (and neither are most other people I know. I even know Majors who are getting out!) I'm also not going to leave Pensacola after getting 50/50 custody of my daughter.

I'm thinking about going USAF Reserves, doing some spec ops stuff in turboprop airplanes.
