He averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes at Providence, not sure that is ACC caliber either.

Hard to feel good about this team at this point.

^I'm not too high on the team either at the moment... especially without Bates.

But to make a case for them being better than expected... I can see a world where our guards rebound and D up at a high level (Morsell and Seabron especially), TQ is better than expected and relatively consistent offensively right away, Seabron makes a leap and continues to be aggressive with the ball and we have enough big bodies to at minimum to throw fouls at good opposing bigs (how many good offensive bigs are there in the ACC anyways?). Bigs don't really thrive offensively in Keatts' system anyways. Not having an elite shot blocker will hurt, but if the defense everywhere else improves I could see that team finishing in the upper half of the ACC.

^^ i know his numbers weren't great at Providence but at least he's got experience and has played at somewhat high level (big east isn't acc, but it's not CAA either). i didn't mean i had especially high expectations....just from purely a depth standpoint, he's another body.

dunno but Seabron and Morsell balled out. Duwuona was getting beat 1-on-1 a lot by Colgate's upperclassman center. He wasn't fouling but couldn't really stop him. Interior defense is obviously going to be a weakness with no Manny, but we have a lot of athletic wings that can create their own shots.

Allen may suck but he's also really important this year because he's the only guaranteed 3 point shooter on the roster

It's pretty much Hayes slumping early keeping that % low. Smith, Hellems and morsell have been good so far. Hellems also shot better then Allen last year.

Based on previous years Id expect cam and morsell to both regress to the mean (in opposite directions) as season moves forward
