TAA is hurt so prob only a hat trick and brace (there's gotta be a term for 4/5/6 goals??)

I wanna know how Leeds can look so damn good on Sunday against Arsenal--dominating the second half and being a missed pk away from getting a point--and then be down 2-0 to Leicester today.

Marsch's style and tactics seems to work well against traditional big clubs but they seem to struggle against bottom feeders.

That would make sense if the bottom feeders all settled into a low block and his press and counter wasn't effective. This Leicester game has been up and down, though. Leeds just has no finishing quality and the passing in the final third is trash, which is not a shock. My guess is that the style just has a higher variance and so is more apt for up and down performances. The Chelsea/Arsenal games are the anomalies clearly either way.

Aaronson looked good, though. This last week has been good for USMNT guys with Pulisic and Reyna both looking very sharp in their appearances as well.

I'll take winning the Premier League war over claiming victory in a head-to-head battle, though drawing or losing at Anfield every year sucks. Klopp seems better at motivating his team for the big matches like City and Barcelona than he is at psyching them up for clashes with bottom feeders.

There is buzz that Pulisic will go there in January. Could be nice depth for a run. I haven't watched much Newcastle this season so I don't know their winger situation.

^^anything is possible.

This is my honest Top 4 prediction

City (they will win league), Arsenal, Chelsea, ManU. The last 2 are interchangeable, I think Conte has gotten all he can get out of Spurs and they are struggling. I think Newcastle could crash party but I think their depth currently may be an issue and the WC break will kill some of their players form (Almiron)

I don't think Pulisic would be allowed to leave for Newcastle in the winter window, unless Newcastle grossly overpay the transfer fee. In the summer who knows. If Pulisic leaves in winter I see him going to Serie A not another EPL team.

City wins the league and I still think Liverpool can get to a top 4 spot but if we don't, I think we win the league next year without all the congestion of UCL/ World Cup et.

If I were Arsenal fan I would be concerned with what happens when they hit a rough patch (every team does). How long does it take to right ship?

Liverpool could absolutely make top 4, but need a good run of form to do it. 3 teams 4 points or more ahead of you could prove difficult, just to get to 4. Chelsea, United, or Newcastle have better odds right now. Still a long season and no one knows what WC is going to do to players or injuries that could be picked up.

I know Chelsea have a tough run up to the break. Have to win 1 of next 2 CL matches to qualify. Away Cup tie with City, home with Arsenal away at Newcastle. So thats Liverpool's chance to catch Chelsea, especially with the injuries that they currently have in defense.

Are you just meaning "better chance imo" when you say odds? Bc I think 538 and betting houses still have Liverpool above those 3.

FSG has put Liverpool up for sale. Liverpool get drawn against Real Madrid. Feels like Fenway Sports Group knows they can't compete with City, Newcastle, ManU, and Chelsea in Transfer market anymore especially when you add in Barca and RM.

Ronaldo did an interview with Piers Morgan and went scorched earth on Man United and ETH. Made Lukaku's interview last year seem tame.

Thats how you get your club reputation up, obviously City would say no, but its not like Haaland is doing anything over the next month.

Perhaps a good reason for Ronaldo to leave England, as he may not have many games left in his career. Not sure if match bans can be effective in other countries.

Quote :
"Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for two matches and fined £50,000 ($60,000, 58,000 euros) for hitting a mobile phone out of a teenage fan's hand at Everton, the Football Association said Wednesday."

Basing this off absolutely nothing, I figure Munich is the obvious answer. He can claim a title in another country, have a decent shot at another UCL. No transfer fee, so they can pay him whatever he wants.

Miami in MLS would be my next guess, if he really wants to just say fuck it and get paid MAX to ride off into the sunset.

No rest for the weary. City and Liverpool meet in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night. They're not exactly easing back in to club football after the World Cup.

No holding back tonight. The match was just as chippy and frenetic as their PL clashes. Impressive win by City. It would be more impressive if VVD had played.

You learn something new everyday.

Quote :
"Why does new Al Nassr signing Cristiano Ronaldo have to serve a suspension?
While playing for Manchester United, the attacker was given a two-match ban for throwing and smashing a fan’s mobile phone on 9 October after the Red Devils’ defeat to Everton. The suspension was confirmed by the FA on 23 November, by which time Ronaldo had already terminated his contract with United.

According to reports in England, Al Nassr have already sold 28,000 tickets for the match against Al Ta’ee at Mrsool Park and were all set for the start of Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian adventure. However, FIFA regulations means that a suspension incurred for this type of unsporting behaviour must be applied regardless of whether the player in question has moved to a club belonging to another federation.

What is FIFA article 12.1?
Article 12.1 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players states: “Any disciplinary sanction of up to four matches or up to three months that has been imposed on a player by the former association but not yet (entirely) served by the time of the transfer shall be enforced by the new association at which the player has been registered in order for the sanction to be served at domestic level. When issuing the ITC, the former association shall notify the new association via TMS of any such disciplinary sanction that has yet to be (entirely) served.""

Raheem Sterling might be questioning his career moves and Graham Potter might be packing his bags after the events of the last four days.
