Last weekend I heard someone order a white chocolate mocha with pumpkin spice flavoring. I am going to have to try that now.

^ That is my standby. I get it hot in the fall and winter and iced in the spring and summer. Though I have been to some places where it kind of tastes like feet

[Edited on November 8, 2010 at 2:35 PM. Reason : actually right now I am having chai mix, milk and regular coffee in equal parts]

Normal is two cups in the morning and then take a full thermos to work.

When I'm struggling, three cups in the morning and then a thermos to work.

I'll sporadically have a cup mid-day if I'm out of the office and want to hit up the local coffee shop. If it's a cold weekend day and I'm lounging around the house, I like to start a full pot in the morning and just drink coffee throughout the day.

Definitely will have a cup of coffee or espresso with desert if I'm out having a big dinner.

I can't stand overly sweet chai or coffee drinks. I can't deal with syrupy grossness anymore

Where I work we have a couple Flavia coffee machines around the breakrooms and boxes of like 20 different types of coffee. I have at least 2 cups a day. It's phenomenal. Sometimes I even go crazy and add a flavored espresso shot to my strong coffee

But I found out this week that they're going to start charging us .25 for every cup. I'm quite angry.

I'm only slightly angry at the fact that they're now charging for something they sold as a "perk" of working here, ~$125 a year isn't going to break me, I'm more angry that I now have to find 500 quarters and keep them at my desk.

I tried to go completely without coffee today....and I got a headache and felt sluggish.

I'm now having my first cup of the day. And I immediately felt better. Probably a 2-3 minute turnaround.

^ Occasionally I'll go a Saturday without coffee just because I get to sleep in and don't feel as tired when I wake up. But, I'll usually drink a cup or 2 of tea probably helps with the caffeine headaches. But during the week, it is impossible for me to not drink coffee. I just can't do it.

^Yeah...I'll go the occasional weekend day without coffee...but it's not normal. Even if I don't need it on the weekend, it's part of a routine.

I'm trying to cut back on my diet, and was going to start with coffee today. But that didn't work, so I'm just going to switch from sugar to splenda instead....and less cream.

I hate being addicted to anything and wish coffee withdrawals weren't a problem on the days I don't end up drinking any. I don't drink it because I have to for the caffeine, but I really like it and don't want to stop. What a pickle.

Someone PM me if they know where I can get a Counter Culture pour-over in Raleigh.

^ I don't understand Counter Culture Pour-Over as a noun. Are you looking for their filter cone, or someplace that serves their coffee?

Global Village has a specialty roast available as "coffee by the cup", brewed in one of these. All the filtered goodness of pour-over with the controlled contact time of french press. Pretty spiffy.

Im not a huge coffee fan, the extent of my indulgence is a frappacino from the gas station maybe once every two weeks.

I had a costa rican engineer working for me for about 6 months, and he brought me a lot of costa rican coffee. I think it's far superior to the colombian crap we get here.

My espresso machine broke at 6:30am yesterday

They don't make the machine anymore or supply parts for it. I can find the part on ebay but they want way too much $$ for such a small part. Would be cheaper to just buy a brand new machine.

What says you, TWW? What kind of espresso machine do you have?

Anybody have one of these by Cuisinart:

It's been making great coffee for me for the past year, EXCEPT.....I've now cracked three carafes. I'm not talking dropped on the concrete floor and shattered. I'm talking, bumped up against the counter top cracked...dropped a knife into a carafe filled with water...etc. Coffee maker itself was like $80 or $90 at the time. If I were to have bought a third replacement carafe, it would have added up to the price of the coffee maker. Called Cuisinart and asked if they would do the right thing and sent me a free replacement carafe...and they gave me the heisman.

So now I have one of these by Hamilton Beach:

I've only used the single cup option so far (uses Senseo packets or regular coffee grinds...not Keurig)...and it's not that bad. I don't know if the coffee is as good as it was with the Cuisinart...but that cheap ass carafe was pissing me off.

(3) 17.6-ounce vacuum packs of jacobs krönung coffee for $12.72 after subscribe & save discount and free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Jacobs-Kronung-Coffee-17-6-Ounce-Vacuum/dp/B001GVIT6E/

if you've never had it, you should try it...yes, this is ground, and yes, it's ground very fine...it leaves sediment in my stovetop espresso and i don't drink the last couple of sips out of a cup...but it's a very good, strong coffee (and made better by making it espresso-style)

if you're not into espresso, this will make a decently strong pot in a drip maker, too
