We're 7th with only three sports reporting...2 of which are our are best Fall sports (Men's and Women's Cross Country). We'll be coughing up a lot of spots when the soccer, volleyball, and football tallies come in.

How would we be hurt by those three? Do you keep up with our sports? I mean we may drop some but not a ton.

Women's soccer made S16, Volleyball is 20-12 (13-7) ACC (NCAA team?), and football is making a bowl.

From what I can tell Volleyball didn't get into the tournament so I think we get 0 from that. There are a handful of obvious schools close behind us that are all but guaranteed to jump us (Wisconsin, Penn State, UCLA, UNC). I think are a number of teams with a decent shot of passing us as well since we're not in Volleyball or Men's Soccer. Like Washington...they're pretty far back right now but they're going to get points from men's soccer, volleyball, and football.

If we win our bowl game that could help a lot, I didn't realize any bowl game win (45 points) is nearly as good as finishing 25th (49 points) -- doesn't even seem fair.

i have no idea what our financial situation is...people bring up that about her time at Maryland, but i thought i recalled reading that we were doing fine financially. regardless...

if her impending retirement is actually going to hinder us from making coaching changes and hurting us in the long term, then she needs to go ahead and step aside. i realize this is a bit premature since the season isn't close to over, but it was rumored that her coming retirement would mean that Doeren was safe in '16 regardless of the outcomes of the UNC and bowl game. and if the same is true about Gott if and when the time comes to fire him, then she needs to step down so that our revenue sports can progress and move forward without floundering for an extra season or two with dead-men-walking as the coaches.

I think i might be one of the few with this stance, but i think Debbie is a great athletic director. Hear me out. Her job is the athletic director, not the football and mens basketball director. If you look at the state of athletics, and i mean all of them, I've never seen them in a better place. Multiple ACC Champions, multiple top 10 finishers. Hell we are currently 13th in the directors cup standings. I get the football and men's basketball are the 2 money makers and what 90% of people care about. But her job is to run the entire athletic departnent, not just 2 sports, and it looks to me like she's doing a damn fine job.
