My husband hid cupcakes from me in the microwave. I didn't know they were there until I said "I wish I had a cupcake" and then he disappears and reappears with a Happy Cakes cupcake.

The fact that they were in the microwave for two days and I had no idea is weird. I don't know if that is a good sign or a bad sign.

I live roughly half-way between two YMCAs. I like going to the one that's slightly further away even though it's older and smaller--the members there are older and don't use the cardio and weights. The only downside is those old fucks can't park. Half the parking spots are wasted by cars parked over the line and god forbid you have the misfortune of pulling into the lot while someone is trying to park. That's twenty minutes wasted watching a thirty thousand point turn into a parking spot.

Had a "typhoon walk" today with my family and another family.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Sustained winds of 60 mph, gusts of 80 mph, with and without rain.

Even walked to the beach/sea to see what the surge looked like.

^^ Swimming, group exercise classes, socialization in the coffee area, and a lot of physical therapy. I think the weight machines get a fair amount of use, but they're in a separate room from the free weights and I don't go in there often.

The other Y is a lot newer and really nice (it actually has windows!), but everytime I go it's overrun with mom cliques and dudes that like to drop weights so everyone knows they picked them up.

hah. i recently taught my 69yr old dad how to back into parking spots. he was trying to make a 90 degree turn after putting into reverse at first, showed him where to park before putting into reverse
