Battlefield 2 is my second favorite war shooter behind BF1942 and before COD2. They are totally different types of games. I think BF3 will be similar to the new COD strain but the story will probably suck and it will just be about killing dudes. The Bad Company story was shitty. EA/Dice/whoever has always been about masturbating how good their engine is at the current time and gameplay/immersion always comes second.

I am pretty sure that I am gonna skip this COD. The DLC will probably still cost $15 (which is way too much), and the COD Elite thing, meaning I don't know what I would miss out on if I did not pay a monthly fee. There is a 0.03% chance that I might get it however, but as of right now I am 99.7% sure that I am not getting it.

Haha, that is pretty funny, but I just don't want to buy this game and not get a good experience because I am not wiling to pay $15 a map pack. i did not buy maps packs for the last two CODs and that was disappointing.

you dont have to sign up for COD Elite, so you can continue to pay whatever for the initial game purchase cost is and not download any map packs as usual
