Not even Patrick Cannon's vote could give Hagan the victory

I'm very surprised at this.

I thought with all of the negative views toward teacher compensation reform in this state, there was no way he could win.

- ebola

- conservatives hate that the supreme court said gay people can marry
- high republican turnout because conservatives hate obama
- low democrat turnout because liberals aren't happy with obama

Sweet with Tillis elected we can be assured that we will have lots of austerity measures to cut educational spending in favor of stoking the US aero defense complex with more money to dropping bombs on the turrists.

I'm also excited on the hard work he'll do to protect embryos from being MURDERED, preventing them faggots from marrying, and ensuring strict punishments for evil pot smokers who attempt to erode good ole Christian family values.

Yay, all the backwards, redneck bible thumpers get a voice again! This will surely result in progress!

I think one of the biggest worries is this will pave the way for the Trans Pacific Partnership which will greatly increase the power of multinational corporations and likely shift more jobs overseas.

I didn't stereotype anyone. There are backwards, redneck bible thumpers in this state, and they all voted for Tillis to represent them, and that's what he'll do.

Doesn't matter if it's a stereotype or not ... It's true and that is the most important part.

Stereotyping is a generally unfair or inaccurate view of someone or a group of people. The red areas of this state largely consist of rednecks and bible thumpers. A lot of them would even identify as such (although bible thumpers could just call themselves "family-values" Christians, evenagelicals, Baptists, or whatever. Sure they are more complex than that. But that is not an unfair or inaccurate assessment as shorthand. That's literally the demographic makeup of the state. And they will now have more of a voice through Tillis.

Nate Silver and the entire 538 team should probably quit now with electoral and statistical analysis like ^.

^^^That's exactly the kind of site I look at, along with polling on religiosity. Do you dispute that poor, rural, uneducated, and more religious whites make up most of the population of red counties, and that they largely vote republican? I mean, that should be self evident, but I can get polling data. I know you guys get all pissy when the truth stings, but lets face reality. NC is full of redneck bible thumpers who want abortion restricted or outlawed, gay marriage to be outlawed, and all the other backwards, theocratic bullshit they espouse. Fuck you if you voted for Tillis.

I've been saying for a while now that democracy is no way to run a country. It's just funny that some people only seem to catch on to how fucking stupid most people are when their "team" loses an election. The rest of the time you hear a bunch of bullshit about "will of the people."

If only we could enforce the collective will of TSB our society would rid itself of all evils. I consider myself lucky to even be allowed to post on the same board as the anointed like yourself.

I say fuck you if you voted for either one of those turds.

Casting a vote for either was a disaster, and voting for the lesser of two evils is just going to perpetuate such shitty, out of touch candidates. I voted, but I absolutely did not vote for those two.

Ham Sandwich and Sean Haugh were my only choices.
