Actually I was thrown off on the speed by some flags/posters, the minivan isn't moving as fast as I thought initially. They do still hit people though.

In other videos you can see the crowd walking past the minivan not paying attention to it so they don't seem as angry about it. So it seems like the crowd thought it was accidental and not malicious at least.
