I'm currently going back trying to figure out why I didn't get several followers and despite picking up every quest throughout the zones there are apparently several that are bugged and don't even show up on occassion

The thing I'm most bitchy about? I can ride that god damn goat in nagrand and do everything...but when I stealth, my follower stays visible (despite going stealth when not mounted) and aggros everything in sight

what's the deal with the entire north west section of nagrand? island and large hunk of mainland. Completed every quest I can find and none send me that way - I've only bothered to explore to the ring of blood to see the black market auction house

He said he hasnt played since BC. If you werent hard core raiding when BC came out things were difficult at least to start. I remember taking my less geared chars and every regular mob fight in hellfire was difficult at least until you got some of the green upgrades. Also way less world pvp now than there was back then which makes leveling so much easier haha.

idk, the only thing challenging about BC was being ganked over and over. I feel like the quest mobs/minibosses are more challenging in WoD than any other expansion. you actually need to use interrupts sometimes. more so if you factor in rare spawns

dailies from your garrison (800-1000 a day)

and, if you're bored, you can use the group finder to find a custom group that's farming them

as far as this exp being easy mode leveling...yea. It wasn't exactly difficult in the first place, but it's a complete joke now. I was in gear that was 1-2 raids back and was one-two shotting things until at least 95. I don't think I died until I was 100 and that was because I was scratching my dick and not paying attention...and the rare elites suddenly started hitting like a ton of bricks

Has anyone had a garrison invasion yet? I'm beginning to think they didn't even implement the fucking things.

Funny thing is plenty of people haven't gotten that one because they upgraded their garrisons too quickly and the shit has bugged out and they can't do it (and no one seems to know if it's bugged out further since no one seems to have done one of the "organic" invasions yet)

lol, just looked at an old post on the wow forums and realized I was in the first alliance guild on the server to get tortos down...I don't think any other guild had gotten past the first two bosses at that point

Alliance on that server was TERRIBLE We switched servers due to lack of decent players to recruit...we got the next three down the next week or two and then I quit like a month later

Guild apparently gave up right after I quit. Only two members have active accounts now

Anyone else that plays a rogue think wow treats them as a redheaded stepchild? I mean, I realize most classes probably feel that way, but every time I check blue posts on class changes, I can rest assured rogues will probably not get the slightest mention unless it's to call posters bald face liars because their internal testing is never wrong

Anywya, despite all the bitching, I don't HATE this expansion. I'm still playing, afterall I'm just fucking fed up with games being released that haven't been thoroughly tested...not to mention just generally disagreeing with certain design choices, but that's bound to happen.

Yeah, to clarify, I wasn't saying leveling was hard in BC and vanilla, just that it's amazingly easy now. Things are streamlined to an incredibly degree. You're better guided to your level appropriate zone. The Dungeon Queue makes leveling through dungeon PUGs not only feasible but quick. Having a mount at 20 makes things so must faster. Quests have teleports (to get you into action faster, which doesn't bother me), and getting around (again, dungeon queue) is just that much easier.

A lot of these are good things, and probably mostly affect 1-60. Playing a combat rogue right now (I could jump on my lvl 72 mage or my other toon) just for a fresh start in a class I'm not used to. So much has changed, down from the core systems of the game, to the economy and character structure, etc. I was sad to see the talent tree/spec system has been entirely replaced, but the dual-spec ability and being to go back and forth between different playstyles... that's pretty neat, and that's nice for those of us who don't always play the build most desirable for end-game raiding (I was and still am a fire mage at heart).

Yeah, I'd argue that while there have been a ton of changes to leveling a new character from 1 to 90, most of the changes have been quality of life improvements to get rid of the boring and tedious stuff old players had to go through to level a character.

I finally got an invasion to spawn! I farmed rep for Leo (bodyguard) until he hit the 2nd level by killing mobs marked as in the areas immediately north of the lift down into Shatt. Took about 2-3 hrs of farming. If you've got a Trading Post, you can also use these mobs to get your Sha'tari Defense rep up too. You'll know when you spawn the event b/c a big yellow ! will appear in your garrison tracking window letting you know your shit is on fire.

So when you get an invasion, get 2 friends in a group with you and get them to come to your garrison (have them right click on their portrait and select the option to visit your garrison). Get them to spec into their highest DPS spec, do not let them heal or tank you don't need it. Have 1 person down towards your main entrance, one off on the road to the side entrance and one person in the down square. Kill like crazy. We were about 150 points short of Gold, and it was because we weren't spread out and it took us a lot of extra time to move around and get to the mobs.

I'm planning on playing disc priest. I think we'll be good again looking at beta logs.

Disc will be fine, but Holy is where the sweet spot is right now. I haven't had this much fun healing stuff on my Holy Priest since BC, and our numbers are very strong comparatively.

Resto Shammys on the other hand, I feel very sorry for. Blizz needs to do a little buffing on them.

I can't speak to other toons issues, but rogues are buggy as shit, that's for sure. The most annoying, to me, is stealth seems to be worse than ever. It breaks all the time for no reason.
