For sale is a Mosin Nagant. 4 photos are in my gallery. Paid $118 for it a few years back at a gun show.
Asking $120 for it and 60 rounds of 7.62x54R Brown Bear ammo (40 rounds fmj, 20 rounds sp).
It has a pretty nice gouge in it (photo), but is otherwise not in bad shape. I've shot it a few times. Matching serial numbers.
Please PM me with serious inquiries. 8/21/2009 7:16:24 PM |

ok got a bunch of gun stuff for sale. I figure I will have to put most of this stuff up on carolinashooters and arfcom b/c its probably too rich for tww but will post here as well b/c I would like to do FTF if possible rather than shipping. You can reach me by PM.
1) Smith & Wesson M&P9c (compact) - I purchased new approx. 03/2008. Less than 500 rounds fired (all Speer Lawman and Federal AE; broke in with ~100rds 147gr. and 115-124gr after that) Comes with 4 factory magazines - 3 with extended grip and 1 with flat bottom (see pictures), and 3 different size backstrap inserts. Also includes original plastic S&W box, manual/instructions & gun lock. You are welcome to try this gun out at PDHSC or another local range. No issues whatsoever with this pistol. I would prefer to have it transferred at a local FFL such as Jim's Gun Shop so I don't have to keep up with a pistol permit/CCW copy from the buyer for the rest of my life. Please make me an offer if interested.
2) 1000 rounds Federal Lake City 5.56 XM193A on stripper clips. This is high quality 5.56 on 10 round stripper clips in 30 round bandoleer boxes. Comes in a milsurp style ammo can and includes 3 stripper clip loaders for quick loading. This is great if you are looking for something to stash away in case its ever needed. $475.
3) 500 rounds Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr. - 10 boxes of 50. $12/box or all for $110.
4) Magpul Pmags 5.56 - 30 rounds (black) - 10 mags for $16/each or all 10 for $150. - These are sealed in wrapper and are the newer "M" version where the top cover can clip on the bottom of the mag.
5) Magpul Pmags 5.56 - 20 rounds (black) - 2 mags for $15/each. I think these were late '08 manuf. In original plastic bags.
6) Aimpoint style knockoff red-dot sight. This is a 1x red-dot that closely resembles an aimpoint in appearance. It held up well on my 10/22 for plinking but eventually i decided to go with a magnified scope. It was hard to try to take pics of the field of view so its better than it looks in the pic. has windage/elev adjustments, 5 brightness levels, built in mount, flip-up lens covers - but the rear flip-up spring is broken so you have to remove the rear cap when in use. $40.
7) Mako AR15 Ambi Rear Sling Adapter (MD-SA1) $8 (pic below) 8) Leapers See-through Scope Riser mount #MNT-995 for AR-15 style flat-tops $10 (pic below) 9) NC Star RB13 Rifle Scope rings - 1" weaver rings - $5 (or free if you buy something else) (pic below) 10) Allen Buttstock Cartridge Holder - $1 (or free if you buy something else) (pic below) 11) ~100 rounds Federal LC 5.56 1x fired brass - $5 (or free if you buy something else) .

copy of my ad from CSF:
Just throwing this out there, I'm kind of wanting something different. I cant take too much of a loss on what I have in this thing, either, so here goes.
The CX4 would come with: rails on top, front, sides. barrel shroud front folding grip cheap sling hard case burris red-dot 1x scope 2 beretta 15 round mags 2 aftermarket 15 round mags 2 aftermarket 32 rounders( one baseplate is broken, and I have been having trouble with these mags)
would sell for $800, or $920 with 700 rounds of steel cased wolf 9mm
would consider trades, or trades plus cash for a lot of things, but most likely Ruger SP101 revolvers s&w revolvers 1911s bolt action rifles, possibly with scope? (any 30ish caliber, .300, .308, 30-06 etc.) cheaper o/u 12ga.
I have permits for any pistol trades. I really don't have much money to add on top for a trade.
Here is a pic, obviously not everything I have listed is shown:

Female here. Wanting to get a gun for my house for protection. I already have a 22 rifle, but I'd like something smaller and more easily accessible (I have pets so I don't leave the gun out in the open). I'm very motivated right now, as I have new neighbors that have me very concerned.
I was very interested in getting a handgun, but my mom's husband is strongly suggesting a legal-length sawed-off shotgun because of the wider spread.
Again, I mentioned that I'm female because the giant, heavy guns probably won't be for me, but I'm also not a small girl - I'm 5'9"-5'10", so I'm not necessarily looking for an itty-bitty gun. Right now, I'm not looking for a conceal-carry gun, but I'm also not opposed to the suggestion.
If you have any ideas of what might be most appropriate for me, please let me know. And if you have something for sale that you think would be appropriate, please let me know the price. Thanks. 9/5/2009 1:39:06 PM |

Minimum legal length for a shotgun is 18", which is 2" longer than the minimum legal length of a rifle.
I know it's not exactly what you were asking for, but I think you might like a Hi-Point 9mm carbine.
http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/carbines/9mm_carbine/9mm_carbine.html
They're ugly as hell, but they're great guns. I've had mine for over 4 years, put thousands of rounds through it, and haven't had any problems. Since you're not a small girl, it should fit you pretty well. It will also be more accurate than you might be with a handgun. It also comes in .40 if you want something that packs a little more punch. When I bought mine they were around $150, but now that people know they're actually good guns the prices have gone up to around $220.9/5/2009 2:56:42 PM |

Thanks for the information. After looking at the carbine and looking up "home defense pump action shotgun" in google, I think I like the idea of a pump action shotgun with a pistol grip (both stock and grip, not grip only). I'll look online to see what I can find, but if any of you have one for sale or if you know of a shop (local or online) that has them at a good price (used or new), I'd appreciate the information. i kinda like what the guy had to say. pistol grips are fairly useless to me. that article also explains why the shotgun beside my bed is a camo turkey hunting mossberg 835 w/ an improved cylinder choke. no pistol grips, no fancy shit.
i would go w/ a mossberg 500. solid, reliable gun and easy to find at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the information. As for the pistol grip, I want the pistol grip buttstock, not just the pistol grip. I'd likely break my wrist if I tried that...
I went to PDHSC today, as well as Dick's Sporting Goods. Not many gun shops are open on Sundays (or at least that I could find). Unfortunately, I was under the mistaken notion that I could walk into a shop and walk out with the gun that I wanted - they didn't have much of a selection in 20-gauge.
If any of you have a gun like the following for sale, or if you know someone who does, please let me know. I'm a motivated buyer, but I'm not made of money, so I'm not entirely sure I can afford a brand-new one.
Pump action 20 Gauge 18"-20" barrel (they said the 20" would have less recoil) Pistol grip buttstock
Brand isn't really important to me, although the Mossberg 500 Persuader and the Remington 870 were recommended to me. They said the Mossberg was more affordable, but the Remington 870 had a bit less recoil...
Also, PDHSC no longer allows shotguns in their range, but they do have a one-on-one course on shooting shotguns for $75.00. Do any of you know any other good places where I can learn to shoot (and get comfortable with it) once I get the gun and how much they charge?

Well the next decent gun show is in Winston Salem on the weekend of Sept 19th-20th (military antiques at the Raleigh location during the same weekend, it's not the same), I'd suggest going up there and take stock of all the vendor options. Gives you better perception on what you'll be shooting with, usually a lot more variety (this can be good or bad depending how you see it), and if you're lucky sometimes you can swipe a good deal. If you're looking for a detailed setup it may not have exactly what you want, but I can guarantee there will be multiple vendors that have shotguns meeting those four basic criteria you just put up.
From the sound of it, you seem knowledgable and cautious enough to easily apply and get your conceal carry license. I would suggest when you become comfortable enough with the shotgun to pursue a carry weapon. If it's just the neighbors you're worried about, I'd be more concerned about the time I park and leave my vehicle to when I gain entry to the house. You won't have the luxury of running to get the shotgun should something happen outside or when you're in the car. 9/7/2009 12:39:24 AM |
