chandra's secrets (allan stratton) -- i'm just finishing it now. it's really enthralling; i read it in 2 sittings even though i didn't have time to. it's about a teenage girl coping with rape, hiv/aids, etc in sub-saharan africa.

my friend's reading the infidel and says that's a keeper , too.

^you are on to something with david sedaris

but please tell me you didn't say wicked was "the single most worse book...ever"?

i'll admit it didn't live up to some of my expectations after seeing the musical, but i guess that is because i was hoping idina menzel or kristen chenoweth would somehow magically appear in the book version.

The Dark Tower Part IV: Wizard and Glass, Stephen King

Really good series so far, totally unlike his other work (if you aren't a fan... or even if you are I suppose).

Finished Heller's Picture This yesterday. Excellent.

Moving on to another Heller novel, Something Happened.

I thought Wicked was pretty interesting...haven't seen the musical, though. I liked Mirror Mirror a bit more--tying the Borgias into the story was a unique twist.

Just finished. Very good, quick read. It is written from the point of view of someone with Asperger syndrome, and a very interesting perspective on how someone with that might think.

One of my favorites. The whole series, actually, but of the individual books that one was the clear winner IMO.

Me, I'm reading The Great Bridge by David McCullough. 3rd book of his I've read--the man is a fantastic author. Has that gift for making history very readable, almost novelesque at times, without sacrificing historical accuracy.

Finished it a few weeks ago. I LOVED it. The story definitely doesn't end up where you'd expect it to.

Next I'm working on reading Mattimeo again, just to bring me back to Middle School.
