I never said I thought we'd go undefeated i dont know where you get all this crap.
Kenpom said 11-7, my prediction was 12-6 which still looks pretty damn good. You guys are clowns.
And for the record I destroyed NFL this season and this postseason. 1/22/2013 4:23:08 PM |

Can't help but to be impressed with this kid. He's put in the work of the court and it shows. That little floater in the lane he showed off last night was sweet. 1/27/2013 3:42:49 PM |

He's improved about as much as any player I can remember. He's always been sneaky talented, but his weight really limited him the first two years. He shedded all the pounds but kept all his power. Now he's in beast mode for 35 minutes a game.
Can you imagine Howell as a freshman and sophomore playing 35 minutes a game? He would've died. 1/27/2013 4:36:55 PM |

I'd like to thank the refs for not calling as many ticky-tac fouls on Howell this year. When he came back in the first half he committed two fouls (clear out on Plumlee and his dumbass hedged too far out on a screen for the millionth time) and the refs swallowed their whistles. I guarantee you that if it were a close game and we weren't getting blown out by 20...that those fouls would have been called.
Regardless...he played a great game. Props to him and Lewis for showing up tonight or it could have been even worse. 2/8/2013 6:59:51 AM |

The one positive from Brown going down is that people like me who doubted Tyler Lewis as a capable ACC level player as a freshman have been shown that they were wrong. We've needed depth desperately and now we've added another man who can actually play good minutes. We still need contribution from a big, which it doesn't look like Vandenburg can do, but Lewis has shown that we could play a 3 guard lineup in order to rest Howell and Leslie more.
Lewis Brown Purvis Graham/Wood Leslie/Howell
That's still a pretty effective lineup. Obviously you want to still start Leslie, Howell, Wood, Purvis, and Brown, but now at least we have options. 2/8/2013 10:42:05 AM |

TJ Graham coming back to play basketball now? Didn't know that
But, I agree. Zo getting hurt could be a net positive for us, assuming he is able to come back and be the same ol' Zojangles in March.

I guess most of my beef with CJ stems from the comparison to Howell. Here's a guy who in 4 years has completely reshaped his body, added to and refined his offensive skill-set, all the while being a fundamentally sound re-bounder and post defender (when he's not reaching in). He also busts his ass every second he's on the court. 2/8/2013 1:19:26 PM |

Howell is averaging 12.4 per game in the ACC. Assuming we make the ACCCG and the sweet 16, we'll have 14 more games. He continues with this pace he'll finish with close to 1100.
If we lose in the 1st rd of the ACCT and NCAAT then he'll have 1035.
He could definitely do it...
[Edited on February 10, 2013 at 3:48 PM. Reason : All he'll need it 2 tourny wins (either tourny) and he could do it keeping his same pace..] 2/10/2013 3:46:29 PM |

If he's smart he'd try to get us into the NIT instead where we are more likely to advance deep. He could easily do it then.
What an excellent screen he set to free up wood for the game winner. Team mvp for sure. 2/10/2013 6:27:44 PM |
