This morning I had to fill out an incident report for a worker who was attacked by a goose, then we had to put up signs telling everyone to not use the main entrance because of an aggressive goose. The worker was knocked over from behind, they had headphones in and didn't hear the goose that hit them. Now we are trying to find one of the goose removal companies to bring dogs to scare them away.

every year we deal with Canadian Geese that return and lay nests in our parking lot. a company-wide email goes out with tips on how to avoid getting attacked on your way in/out and a reminder of the penalty for hitting/abusing them. those fuckes are aggressive as shit to everyone walking to/from the office for like 2 months. I wish we could call in the dogs, but they're protected.

the goose surprise attacked them, i got to watch the video. They were walking, headphones in, and a goose flew at them about chest height from behind and hit them basically full speed on the back of their shoulders. I think they were more surprised then anything, when it hit them they kind of stumbled forward. After they got up they fought it off while walking backwards, the goose took a few forearm hits and solid kicks before giving up. i'd post the video if i was allowed to, its pretty funny.

One of our interns used 'side piece' while speaking in front of almost the entire company this week. When she realized it she tried to save it by saying that was probably a poor choice of words. We are a fairly old company so half us were trying not to bust out laughing and the half was trying to figure out what we were reacting to.

I found a bathroom in that section that has a toilet with a full door, not just a partition but a complete door and cubby like you see in Europe. Its clean and I don't think anyone knows about it. I've been shitting on the clock in peace for the past week, its great

Knowing for the past few weeks that you are probably going to be dropping the mic and bailing for a new job that is a big promotion and none of your immediate crew has any idea.

Under workplace annoyance thread, how fucking slow HR at the state of North Carolina takes. I applied for a position in June and it is just now finished the interviews and done my reference checks. They got it down to two candidates. At this rate I hope I could start before 2018.

My boss took a part from Garner to Kernersville on Thursday. Then Friday he discovered someone had loaded the wrong part in the van. I got to drive from Garner to Kernersville and back on Friday to deliver the correct part. That was kind of fun. I spent a day alone that featured beer and shrimp at Hooters and a visit to Dubey's Pet World.

^^Actually it was pretty awesome considering I was at work! The worst trip I have to take is probably Garner, to Rocky Mount, and back to Garner. There is nothing fun to do on that trip. Traveling from Dunn to Sanford is always fun too because I sometimes stop to go hiking at Cape Fear River Trail Park, or Raven Rock State Park. Hot Dog Headquarters in Lillington is awesome! When you're out of the office you can do whatever you want as long as you don't waste too much time.

^^It's an exotic pet shop in Mebane, NC that sells stuff for reptiles, small animals, birds, freshwater fish, and saltwater fish. It's really cool. They have a reef tank in the back right corner of the store and an indoor koi pond. The owners have a cat and dog that wander around the store too.

I stopped in to get some flourish iron and to look at all of the cool things I'll probably never own. They had clown fish, flame angels, and yellow tangs swimming around in their marine tanks yesterday.

It was a big pig cooker that was surprisingly efficient. Cranked it up to 500, threw them all on, flipped after 6 minutes and cooked for another 4, pulled them off. It turned out really well, the thicker ones were perfectly rare/medium rare and the thinnest ones were medium well, and people got their choice. And honestly, if you prefer your steak medium well to well done you deserve the thin gray dried out hunk of meat you get.

What are you doing making another wise ass remark about last weeks trip to Hooters after I just posted I went to a different Hooters today? Come on, you can do better than that.

Anyway, the girl that served me today was telling her coworker how she was tired. Then when I was talking to her she said she had stayed up late and didn't realize she had to work the lunch shift today. She said they called her 20 minutes before they opened to ask where she was at. She then said she had to rush to find a sitter. A little while later she was talking on the phone and it looked like it was a heated discussion.

Why is it that almost every time I go to Hooters the the waitress always ends up talking to me about her problems? I thought the customers at the bar are supposed to be the depressed ones who tell the bartender about all of the problems in their life?
