Look the team has had a great year. #6 in RPI with a SOS of #3 and is in contention for a national seed, but if they are going to advance farther the Ks have to stop. A win tomorrow and a win in the UNC series plus a decent showing in the ACCT would have us being a national seed for the first time ever meaning we host Supers no matter what. Some of you need to follow college baseball more.

That first quote is basically your only non-shitty post in this thread since the season started. Maybe try being a bit balanced? Nobody personally hates you for being a gloom and doom NC State fan. People do hate your online persona when you are 99% hate and barely anything good. I mean, #6 in the RPI is fucking awesome. From your posts, you would think were were the worst team in the country. Just try adding some yin to your yang or whatever the fuck. Because you come across as a miserable fan. Maybe you're like yelp reviews where if a restaurant is good, you don't say shit because why. Either way, that's why you get labeled as sour, because the vast majority of your sports posts are critique, even when we're #6 in the RPI and had a great year.

reality is, we're gonna host a regional...started the season top 10 and very well may finish the season in the top 10 or just outside of it. we had/have a legit shot at a national seed (don't think it's ever been done in program history) although that does seem to be slipping away at the moment.

Also predicted 16-14 ACC....which is close to what we are going to finish but don't post that.

This is the strongest the ACC has ever been. Could be 4 national seeds and 6/7 teams hosting. #1 in RPI over SEC.

but, you can't really brag about your prediction being close when you were saying 16-14 would be a big disappointment and now it sounds like you're arguing that 16-14 would be a strong accomplishment in the conference this year. it's pretty clear you were wrong about how this season would go for Avent and State.

It is a strong accomplishment and we've had a good year. One we were expected to have I might add. I just posted that earlier in the thread. The OOC turned out to be very good with the Ws over Wright State, Alabama, ECU, UNCW, UNCG, and Coastal.

After reading RW's ridiculous speech, I have even more respect for Avent now.

#2 Louisville, .704 (@ Wake)
#3 FSU, .652 (vs Miami)
#4 Virginia, .593 (vs VT)
#5 NC State, .520 (vs UNC)
T6 Clemson .481 (@ ND)
T6 Wake .481 (vs Louisville)

If the season ends in this order our pool would be Miami, UVA, and one of GT/UNC/Duke depending on tie-breakers.

Let's assume Wake is about to have their asses handed to them. The highest Clemson can get is to is .533, and if we win 2 of 3 we finish at .536. Can't afford to lose more than one or our pool could have both Louisville and FSU.

Right now they are sitting at #10 with a .429 conference win %. BC and ND are tied for #11 at .423. ND is hosting Clemson and BC is @GT.

If we sweep UNC, they drop to .400, and either BC or ND would just have to win one game to get ahead.

But I'm not super confident that we will sweep (of course I'd be thrilled if we did).

Brown's start last night continued his string of ineffectiveness over the last month or so. With him and Williamson it looked like we were going to have a strong 2/3 of a rotation down the home stretch, but with the way Brown has been, and with Williamson's injury against Clemson, the starting pitching has gone from being a strength to being extremely inconsistent.

If FSU had beaten Miami just one more time Louisville would have jumped into 1st. So now we don't play Louisville, but we will play Miami and Virginia which will both be tough.
