Im looking to buy a cheap deer rifle. I have always hunted with a remington 700 30-06, but it belongs to my dad, and he doesnt want me leaving the county with his rifle. I hunt a lot in other counties and im about to get laid off at work. I doubt that I will be able to afford anything over the $300 range if I am on unemployement. Im open to anything from 243 to 300 win mag.

Also, I have a horton scout crossbow that I would take $300 for. Comes with a $75 case, about 7 bolts, all sorts of brand new broadheads, and a 3 dot horton scope.

^^i have a Mossberg 100ATR in .30-06 with black synthetic stock that i'll take an offer on. nothing fancy, but it's a reliable deer rifle. it's only a few years old and has been shot less than 40 times. no scope included.

I have one...I love it and I'd never get rid of it, but they're too much money for a .22 and a semi-auto would really be better most of the time. I'd recommend just getting a 10/22. You can't really go wrong with them.

We took it to the range on Saturday. My buddy kept the target from 100 yards w/ like 90% 'kill zone' accuracy, but we had so many guns and it started to rain I didn't get a chance to fire it. He doesn't really want to sell it but needs a waterfowl shotgun pretty soon.

FS:Ruger mini-30 + 4x30rnd mags + 900rounds ammo

I bought it very slightly used and have put about 100 rounds through it. (I bought 1000 rounds and I have 901 rounds left over). It shoots very reliably even with Russian ammo. Comes with 4 30 round magazines, 1 5 round mag and 901 rounds of ammunition.

The ammunition is worth $250 by itself. Asking $750 for everything. I'm in Raleigh.

the gun grabbers call almost any firearm an assault rifle/weapon. they also have interchangeable heads and asses, so that probably has something to do with it.

I'd call around- you might be able to find a nice ruger or sig mosquito for 200 bucks at one of the shops around here. I have the ruger 22/45 mk III, and I love it for range shooting. these pistols do have a habit of jamming up a little bit when rapid firing but they are otherwise consistent, fun, and cheap to shoot (I think this is a Ruger 22lr thing... my friends with the mk II and mkIII have the same problem with rapid firing)

Ruger SR9 Stainless/Black Post Recall for sale. 300-400 rnds down the tube. Comes with all origional goodies, 2 mags, and Fobus Holster. The gun is in 98% shape and shoots great. I hate to get rid of it, but I am looking for something smaller and more concealable.

I'd take trades on smaller 9mm's like an XD, Glock or MP compact/subcompact. Other than that, I'd like to get around $400 obo for the SR9.

It's really too bad they wont make that frame in a subcompact variant, since it is significantly thinner than the Glocks.

Also, if you're looking for something concealable and you find the SR9 not to be so, I'd say you need to look at the subcompact Glocks and that's it. The XD sub compacts are large compared to the subcompact Glocks (Particularly the side). I'd suggest the Glock 26, since that design gives you a fully supported chamber and the most options for magazine capacity (10rd, 15rd, 17rd and 33rd FACTORY magazines are available). Then you consider the fact that your EDC weapon needs to be a highly proven design that will deliver absolute reliability. The ease of use of the Glock design also makes it ideal for carry, since there is no safety to forget about deactivating (A very real possibility during lethal force encounters, no matter what you hear to the contrary).

That is my only complaint with the Glock 26, the thickness. It is great in every other dimension, including weight, since it's under 20oz. I'd honestly gladly trade the double stack 10rd magazine for a single stack 6rd mag, giving a 6+1 round, highly concealable, stupidly reliable Glock handgun. I refuse to go away from the 9mm Glock design for my everyday carry weapons, simply because I cannot find anything smaller than the Glock 26 that retains its level of reliability and shootability. I also cannot find anything else that competes in terms of weight. While I'd prefer a Sig style trigger, Sigs don't even come close to Glocks in terms of weight. If Glock would apply the same damned concept they used when they took the overly wide .45ACP chambered 10+1rd Glock 30 and slimmed it down to the single stack 6+1rd Glock 36 to the 9mm 10+1rd Glock 26, they'd have a real winner on their hands. The slimmer Glock 26 would be great for pocket carry (Pocket carry with the G26 can be done using the right pants, but it tends to print badly due to the 1.18" width dimension).

For some very solid reviews of various firearms, I HIGHLY suggest looking at nutnfancy's videos on Youtube. He is the most thorough reviewer I have encountered and he keeps it real son. He considers the Glock 17 to be a reference standard to which all other semi-auto's should be compared. Rarely do any of them win when everything is taken into account. Obviously, his feelings on the Glock 26 are similar. He also mentions a lot of other very cool options in his reviews (There are hundreds) and he reviews knives, tactical gear, camping gear, etc. Very cool stuff, check it out:

http://www.youtube.com/user/nutnfancy

He has a 3 or 4 part review on the SR9, which was quite favorable. Btw, he often discusses how common it is for someone to buy a full size or compact gun, thinking they can carry it daily, just to end up leaving it at home after a very short time. In fact, he made a video concerning the "compact" nomenclature often used by manufacturers and what it really means.

Sub-compact and micro are the only guns you're going to be able to have with you 24/7 IMO, unless you're tubby the motherfucking fat ass. Yes, they're a compromise, but a full sized handgun in your car is worthless if you are not in the car. I'd rather have a .380 Auto in my pocket with which I can attempt to make it back to my full sized handgun or rifle or shotgun in the car or home than nothing at all. This is why I can't stand it when people tell you not to even bother buying a .32ACP or .380 Auto, that is terrible logic. No handgun round will have the hydrostatic shock effects or the massive knock-down power of a true rifle or shotgun, this means that with essentially all defensive handgun calibers, shot placement is the key. If you hit the CNS, a .22LR, .22 Mag, .32ACP or .380 Auto will disable an attacker so long as it penetrates sufficiently. Usually anything below .380 Auto is really going to have trouble incapacitating someone unless the CNS or a MAJOR blood vessel or the heart itself is hit though. However, many people will comply when they start to feel lead pass through their body and I'd rather take my chances with 7 rounds of .32ACP or .380Auto than nothing at all.

Back to the Glocks though, a Glock 26 is solid as fuck when we consider a standard full sized 1911 doesn't hold more than 8+1 rounds of comparable ammunition (There's just not a big difference in 9mm and .45ACP, with the one caveat being the 9mm doesn't perform well using round nose FMJ's). Granted a Glock 17 holds 17+1 rounds, but I don't feel the least bit under-gunned with 11 rounds of Federal 124gr +P HST's in my Glock 26 (And especially with some spare Glock 17 mags on hand).

The other thing that amazes me is that the G26 shoots EXACTLY like its big brother. They are so close in terms of recoil and accuracy that I cannot tell a difference. I love that, because I shoot each equally well. Often you sacrifice control and accuracy with small guns, but that just isn't the case with the G26. Truly an amazing design.

A lot of typing, but I don't want you buying something else and having to turn around and sell it too. So make this one count son!

Man what great info!!

I went to a gun store this morning and held all of the compact/subcompact polymer guns. I liked the XD trigger, but that was about it. The M&P9c was actually really good in terms of how it felt in my hand, and I know its got to be a great gun since the SHP just booked them for their main guns, so I really dont have any complaints with the M&P. I also picked up the 19/26 and while the 26 felt better in my hand (with pinky extension) than the 19. The 26 felt very very nice in my hand, and Nutnfancy seems to like the 26 very well. The 19 is only a little heaver and bigger, but holds 15+1 instead of 10+1. Seeing as this gun will be carried, but not everyday, the 19 seems to fit the bill for me better, but the 26 feels better in my hand. I picked up single stack 9mms (PPS and K9) and liked them, but the 26 was cheaper and felt better in my hand.

Now, the shop here in wilmington had a HK USP 9mm Fullsize with 20 rounds through the gun for $470, it's hard to pass that up lol!!!

Lets try $375 on my SR9.

^^The 26 feels great in my hand, and the fact that I can put any mag in makes it even better.

What I am almost deciding, even though it's not a compact, is that HK USP 9mm for $470 they had. The G26 will always be made, I doubt I will ever find an HK that cheap again, so why not take advantage?

Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911-A1

This gun is just as it came from the factory, with box, holster and mag holster that it came with. Includes two original 7 round mags, also (1) Chip McCormick 8 rounder, and (1) 10 rounder. Has the original black grips, plus some nice wood Springfield grips, and a Hogue grip.

I traded for this to see what the 1911 thing was all about, and while I liked it, I really don't have room in the line-up for it. I only had it out once, and put 70 flawless rounds through it. Previous owner reported shooting roughly 200 rounds through it, it is still in good shape. The only problems I can think of are some marks in the parkerizing. It shows a scratch if you look at it wrong. None of them are major at all.

-Adam

$550
I found a ruger .44 i want to buy, but would use this as a partial trade towards your large bore revolver.(anything bigger than .357 would be considered)
