Anyone need a nice case?
Doskocil model 1612. For some reason a different product pops up if you google "Doskocil 1612", but I promise it is stamped with "Model No. 1612" on the bottom of the case.
Approximately 16"x13"x5.5" exterior dimensions.
Three pieces of foam to create two separate levels to be protected (i.e. you can put one gun and a few magazines on each of two separate layers)
$15 takes it.

This is the closest thing I could find from this manufacturer when searching for "Doskocil double pistol case" or something like that...This is not a locking case though.

I really hate to do this, but I simply dont use this as much as I thought I would, so it needs to go. No sense in it sitting on the wall not being used.

CZ 452 American in .17HMR. Only modification done was I shined up the wood on the rifle using Howards Feed and Wax. Other than that, its stock and in 100% condition. No flaws, dents, scratches, nicks etc. The rifle has had 110 round through it, flawlessly.

On top of the rifle is a Bushnell Limited Edition 3200 Elite 4-12x40 AO scope. The Limited Edition is exactly the same as the 3200 Elite, except the glass is fully multicoated. The scope is in 100% condition with no flaws.

I also have 200 or so rounds of .17hmr ammo to go with the rifle. Bipod not included. All original boxes/paperwork/bags etc come with the combo. Buyer has first shot at the scope and ammo, if they are still available after the rifle goes, they will be for sale separately. I need a valid DL and you must be willing to sign a bill of sale.

I'm asking $420 for the rifle alone, or $650 with rifle and ammo. I paid close to $500 for the rifle, and $250 for the scope, and around $60 for the ammo, so you are getting $810 value.

The only trades I will consider is an AR-15 flat-top (no sights).

ok, so I'm thinking that I will probably sell my 1911 (last post, prev. page). Springfield GI model, well cared for/cleaned/oiled. maybe 3-400 rounds through it. not enough do do anything more than break in the springs.

$450? Anyone?

Anyone looking to get rid of an AR lower. Assembled is better, but bare is acceptable as well.
If it comes with a decent adjustable stock, even better.

Specifically looking to trade my tacticool 10/22 or my Big Bell amp + receive cash.

I have a Ruger 10/22 rifle in excellent condition.
It came with the Tapco T-6 Stock that has the 6 position stock and angled or straight position stock tube.
I have mounted a bi-pod to the bottom rail, and put a red/green dot optic on the top.

I have never really tried for accuracy with it, but I know that it will do 25 rounds into 1'' at 25 yards, as fast I can pull the trigger when using the bi-pod.

There are <1000 rounds through it.

I bought the rifle last year at PDHSC in Raleigh.
I'm getting rid of it because I have a .22 conversion for my AR and don't shoot this very much. Selling it will fund a nice optic for the AR.

Looking for $275 obo.

Willing to add cash or ammo to trade for a compact Glock in black or OD.

*case not included. Can include original box and lock.

I'm looking to buy a handgun or two (or three) online, which I have never done. I'll need it shipped to a licensed dealer.

What do dealers usually charge for that service? Do I need to contact them before the deal is made? Will I need to talk to them in person or have a background check done by them before buying?

Any recommendations on who to use? I'm in Durham.

You need to find an FFL to have it shipped to. You will probably need them to contact the selling company, or the seller need to contact them. Then the seller will ship to the FFL.
The FFL will charge for the transfer, but the rates vary widely. You should discuss this before you have anything sent to them. It may be $40 per gun, or they may say XX.xx as a discounted rate for multiple at the same time.
You will need the pistol purchase permit or CHP and you will fill out the standard paperwork.

Leave Durham.

Thanks. But that's entirely too much work. I'll do it if I have to, but I'll make sure I've scoured all the local options to buy it without shipping first.

I'm not looking for anything exotic, and the prices online haven't been much lower, especially after adding the fees of shipping and the FFL stuff.

I moved to Durham in ignorance of the gun issues. We'll be moving to an unincorporated area in the country somewhere as soon as we can....which may be a few years.

^he outlined exactly what you said you were going to do... but now it's too much work? It's a little work, but not all that much. But it is smart to look locally and compare the prices to stuff not from around here. I've heard of local dealers charging a flat fee $25 - $40 for this (though I can't confirm as I've never done it).

^ PDSHC or lawmans will do it for you I think, but its $40 or 45. If you want to find the cheapest FFL transfer then goto this website and put your zip in the bottom and it will show you who is closest, their prices, and contact information. There really isn't that much paper work at all either.

That has saved me a lot of money when buying cheap ass guns and not wanting to pay more for the FFL than the gun itself. If you are lucky then you will find somebody who will do the FFL transfer for $5-15 .

PHDSC charges $30 a gun for transfers which is high/average. Most places it's 20-30 bucks. If you're doing multiple items, call a shop and ask if they charge per 4473, or if it's a charge per item. I've never done more than one, so I don't know how most folks handle that.

Once you find a shop that will transfer for a price you're okay with, you simply get a fax number for the shipper/seller and ask your local shop to fax them a copy of their FFL. Some will want an actual ink-signed copy - take a stamped, addressed envelope to your local shop and they will likely put a copy in there for you, seal it up, and mail it out.

Whichever way they get the FFL, the seller verifies that it's valid online, then sends the items off to your local dealer. When they arrive, you show up, pay the fee, do all the standard paperwork and background checks, then take your toys home. It's very little additional work compared to buying in person.

If you buy online from a private individual then make sure the recieving FFL will accept shipments from private individuals.
Some places make it a policy not to take guns from private sales. If you can't find an FFL to take a private sale then expect to pay for another FFL fee on the seller's end.

Buying from the net isn't a bad thing once you've done it once.
If you want to make it easy call up PDHSC and have them order a gun. It will almost always be within a few bucks of what you'll find the gun for online+FFL fee, you just have to pay sales tax.
