I enjoy the dunk contest when it's about good dunks and not about props and celebrity sidekicks. Also when DJ Khaled isn't a judge.

Mitchell got multiple 50s last year and he shouldn't have gotten ANY. Also his
Vince Carter "tribute" was sloppy and insult to Vince Carter.

I think the dunk contest needs retooling. Maybe have all the contestants dunk, but don't score them until everyone dunks. Maybe have the two best individual dunks advance to the finals rather than combining scores. IDK, but something needs to change. I think the props are getting out of control and guys are rewarded for them over guys who do actual better dunks. Blake Griffin winning when he did that lame ass dunk over the hood of a Kia really sealed it for me. That shit was rigged.

I think Collins first dunk was more impressive than Diallo's first one. And yet Diallo got a fucking 48 to Collins 40. Bridges 50 was a damn joke. LOL at Collins hitting the plane.

Smith is probably the most creative actual dunker in the contest, but it comes back to bite him because he tries insanely hard dunks. His dunk over J. Cole was like a more impressive version of the one handed catch and slam that Mitchell did last year. All his attempts clearly got him tired though and led to that disappointing dunk over Wade (which got a 50 because Wade.)

Diallo's dunk over Shaq was impressive and his first finals dunk was solid, being eye level with the rim, but his second wasn't anything special. He won basically by default since Smith didn't make his first one.
