I'm hearing that we will stay in phase 2 but also will not make masks mandatory, partially due to enforcement being difficult. Hopefully more individual businesses will make masks mandatory.

Record positive case numbers don't mean much when the percent positive has been flat for almost 2 months, ditto the declining death rate.

Disingenuous of the media to just put number of cases in the headline. Safety measures by Cooper have been in place to prevent the healthcare system from being overwhelmed, which it is not. Thus the reopen people have some solid ground to stand on (not much, but more than you're suggesting).

They are down to the last few nutjobs who show up. Today they tried to get the NCGA to impeach Cooper. I don't think they had much success. Even Phil Berger snubbed them.

Granted, I get my news from Jeff, Renee, Ken, Brian et al over at WRAL, but they have ALWAYS shown in-depth numbers for total tests, # positive, % positive, hospitalizations and death rates, all with rolling 7 day averages.

Ashley Smith's husband and at least one other Reopen person were among the white supremacists protesting against BLM in Graham this past weekend. The group included ACTBAC (a hate group as defined by the SPLC), League of the South members who want a white ethnostate (they were responsible for some of the violence in Charlottesville), and at least one person with SS bolts on their vest.
