TBH, I'd tell your buddy he got taken for a ride if he paid $1600 for an R-15, and to accordingly be a bit more realistic if he really wants to get rid of it. He's asking a bit too much for a 15 model. Just about every one I've seen is ~$1-1.2k brand new.

not really any skin off my back if it doesn't get sold, I just told him I wouldn't pay that for it but that I'd post it on here for him 8/11/2010 2:28:33 PM |

He probably bought in during the "OBAMA GONE TAKE OUR GUNNZZZZ" fervor and paid too much for the gun and WAYYYY too much for the ammo. I know a lot of people who made the same mistake. 8/11/2010 5:47:20 PM |

can't you get a R-25 for that price?
and on the topic of crossbows, i was at Mace Sports in Mebane yesterday and they had what looked like a pretty good selection of crossbows in stock and they're "tax free" through the end of august (i'm assuming they just give you a 7.5% discount or something idk). they had them ranging from a couple hundred bucks up to like $700 iirc. had starter kits and all that jazz. might be worth the ride up there.

I've never actually seen an R-25 for sale, but if I had to make an educated guess I'd say they're in the 1.5-1.7k ballpark, seeing how the normal 308 AR's tend to go for about 300-500 more than a comparable quality 223. 8/12/2010 8:36:16 AM |

Springfield 1903 30-06. Serial Number dates this rifle to late 1918. Bore is bright and shiny and metal is in overall extremely good shape. No rust, just a little patina on the bolt. Wood is in excellent shape as well with a Circle P under the buttstock. Action is smooth and slick and all operational.
I am asking $750 for the rifle. I am interested in trades. Main trade I am looking for is a Kimber. I am also interested in a Marlin 39a's, Keltec/LCP .380. Also would consider trade for a dirt bike or atv. May be interested in other trades, just let me know what you have.

I've got a Marlin 1895SS in 45/70 I'd probably let go to good home. Pretty lightly used, I've put maybe a couple dozen down the tube since I got it, and it appears to also be lightly used prior to that.
The only reason I've never really cared much for it is because it's one of the ones with their microgroove rifling. It's an excellent feature if you're using standard jacketed bullets, but I shoot my own cast lead mostly, and microgroove rifling is very picky about the lead bullet designs it likes. Since it doesn't like my practice ammo, I've just kept it the safe in case I decide to hunt with it sometime.
If it's something you might be interested in let me know and I'll pull it out, find the date, and come up with a value. 8/23/2010 10:32:41 AM |

(Leather sling not included. That's one of my favorites)
Based on the serial # it was manufactured in '95, and with no rust, pitting, or scratches, it's in pretty good shape for a 15 year old piece. I don't have a real value on it since I traded for it, so considering my new 1895 was like $600, I'd take $475 for this one. Less the scope, (old 4x Tasco) $450.

CMMG .22lr conversion kit for AR-15 for sale.
I have 5 mags for it. It's the most fun you can have this side of full-auto, and pays for itself in ridiculously short order. I'm selling because I'm switching to a different platform after getting to play with a lot of different carbines.
Identical to what is here: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27008/Product/CMMG_AR_15_M16__22_LR_CONVERSION_KIT
Conversion + 1 mag: $170 shipped or FTF. 4 mags: $80 shipped or FTF.
Kit + 5 mags: $240.
Prices are firm.........for now 8/27/2010 8:51:22 PM |

Yeah, that's because I want to get rid of it all at once, because it will likely be a pain to sell the mags separately. And you don't have to pay for shipping
But $175 ain't gonna do it.

Kimber Eclipse ULE II. Kimber only produced the ULE II in 2003 with only 227 made. Very rare gun. Bushingless barrel, charcoal/ruby Kimber grips, 34oz, .45ACP. Very good shape, low round count. Slight carry wear on the takedown pin, and a little on the safety. Comes with original box, papers, bag, original Kimber mag, 2 Wilson Combat mags, and Wild Bills concealment holster.
I'm asking $1000 or best offer. I would trade for a pocket .380 (Ruger, Keltec, Taurus), an HK 45, .500 S&W, 45-70 Marlin, *maybe* a 4 or 5" 1911. Other trade offers just let me know.
I need a FTF in Youngsville, Wake Forest, Raleigh (near NCSU). I need either a CCW or permit. 9/6/2010 10:23:40 PM |
