After the way the rookie for the Yanks pitched against your M's yesterday you could give him a look.
Ohh and I am having a time this week with Upton or Kemp in RF....Upton plays 7 games, Kemp plays 6, but Kemp has been on fire. 5/5/2008 12:56:59 PM |

Kemp has stolen 6 bases in his last 6 games and he was the #1 fantasy player last week among all positions...gotta ride that out I think 5/5/2008 12:59:18 PM |

What about Jurrjens? I got him this week....he has been pretty solid for the Braves. 5/5/2008 1:03:12 PM |

FYI...Juan Pierre has had multiple hits in his last 4 consecutive games, and he has his season average up to .324
pretty good considering he batted like .130 during spring and lost his starting spot...I'm not in a rush to pick him up, but he did finish 2nd in the majors in steals last year so he's worth keeping an eye on
also Mike Cameron has 3 homers in 26 at bats this season...last night was only his 6th game of the year and he already has 3 homers...he's like 35 years old, but he also still has multi-HR game potential...you might recall he has hit 4 homers in a game before

still waiting to hear that kershaw will be called up
still dont understand why hes wasting away in the minors as we speak (i know, saving a 20 year old's arm), but the kid is a stud & unquestionably has the best curveball around

Keep an eye on Chase Headley
He's coming up for the Padres this weekend...he'll play OF but has 3B eligibility
He will be batting 5th behind Gonzalez, so he will have some chances
he raked this spring...led the team in HR and RBI ( which isn't saying much on the padres, but still) 5/6/2008 8:33:58 PM |

dunno...i dont think any of them are bad options but i'd have to see what pitchers they were playing against...i kind of like wainwright just cause the cardinals have won a couple in a row and the rockies have lost a couple in a row 5/7/2008 2:35:51 PM |

i have volquez, lee, and marcum tonight
pickup alert: santiago casilla...i added him earlier this week and he recorded his first win and save.
Quote : | "May 6 Casilla recorded his first save of the season just two days after getting his first win of the season.
Recommendation: Casilla has delivered 17.1 scoreless innings on the season, so it is time to take notice. Huston Street had pitched two days in a row and blew a save opportunity Monday. It doesn't look like Casilla will threaten to take Street's job, but he could be a good insurance policy to Street and he should be the man if Street should be traded later this season. " |
i also picked up renyel pinto to keep pulling down my era and whip...http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7496 pretty impressive gamelog for an everyday guy.5/7/2008 2:36:18 PM |

i definitely like the wainwright matchup
francis has been HORRIBLE this year
0-3, 5.26 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 24 K, 14 BB
and he would be 0-4 if his opening game hadnt been rained out postponed after he allowed like 6 runs in the first couple innings] 5/7/2008 2:44:03 PM |

^^ Yeah I definitely agree with that one. I think I'll probably start them all. My starting pitching is pretty good so I should be alright even if one blows it.
^ I considered it, but I have Morneau/Connor Jackson and Berkman/Jackson in my two leagues. And my OF is too stacked

Recommendation: The second baseman's departure came after he had already put forth an impressive day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Hopefully this is nothing serious and was just precautionary with the Reds having such a huge lead. " |

^^^^ The fun in it is its two different leagues with two different groups of people. And for the most part my teams are pretty much the same. I had the same draft spot in both and tried to pick as close to the same roster as possible, and through trades and other waiver pick ups they are almost the same. 5/7/2008 8:39:49 PM |

In one league I have Lee, Wainright and Marcum, so far 18 innings, 16ks, .56 whip. Other league I have Lee, Volquez and Weaver . 4/5 pitchers having shutouts for the night would be great
In that first league my era is .84 over 32 innings on the week. Scherzer is my only pitcher to allow runs (Had Jurrjens yesterday), with 4 saves to boot. Ridiculous!
