I just got a serious craving for a hot fusion roll filled with salmon, cream cheese, and avocado and drenched in eel sauce, but sushi more than once a week is waaaaaaaaayyyyy too many carbs for me

I lived in Orlando for a few years and we used to eat at a place called Izziban Sushi all the time. Best damn sushi I have ever eaten without a doubt. Man I love sushi.

^^ I wouldn't bother. I feel there are better places that cost the same or less.

I really want to try Haru on Glenwood. Have heard it's on par with Waraji. Domo Sushi in Cary is decent.

Has Azuka in Morrisville been mentioned yet? I love the rolls there, sometimes they are buy one get one free. The owner in so nice, very welcoming!

Sweet baby jesus you guys like a LOT of crap with your sushi . . .

Cream cheese and avocado need to stay as far away as possible from decent sushi. That and all the rice on the outside rolls, no wonder you complain about carbs!

Give me a standard old school salmon, tuna, etc roll over a california roll dripping in sauce every day.

I complain about carbs because I'm resistant to insulin. Sushi makes me happy enough that I cheat with it about twice every three weeks, and eat basically zero carbs on the days I do so. And yes, I like americanized sushi A LOT! I like the normal stuff as well, but my tongue lubs some cream cheesey, avocado-y, eel sauce covered goodness.

LoL, nice picture. I'm just sayin' you're drowning the fish equivalent to filet mignon in ketchup with all that junk. (Note: I try to avoid extra stuff on my sushi as much as possible but some cannot be avoided unfortunately)

and I'm just saying I like it and I don't care! And sometimes I eat my medium rare steak with nothing but the flavor from the grill, and sometimes I marinate it, baste it, and sauce it up before I dig in.

We went yesterday at lunch to Tasu at cary. it was awesome. we got the shrimp tempura roll, north carolina sunset roll, the woman in red, and the crazy roll.
high quality and service was great...ask for Leslie
I also didn't realize their menu was so extensive..lunch prices were very reasonable (less than 10). I was going to get an entree as well but was stuffed after eating that sushi

Daddy took me to dinner last night. He wanted sushi. /diabeetus

But it was really good! Cafe Asia on Strickland Rd. Daddy tends to love places I think are kind of sketchy, but he is a very cheap man, lol. This was really good, and not all cheap. He had a groupon for it!

Agreed but it also depends where I am. If I'm at a restaurant I know has great quality fish, I'll get sashimi. If I know it's a restaurant owned by some dude that wouldn't recognize a fresh fish if it bit him in the ass, I'll get more Americanized stuff. I wish I could afford sashimi all the time but alas I cannot
