Ok so new page, I didn't really read the previous page so I'm going to start fresh here, and plus I've been on vacation so I've been mostly staying away from the internet.
I've been reading about Scaramucci, and I'm really concerned with what I'm seeing. Really concerned. Sure, people use that kind of language all the time in conversations. I try to avoid profanity for the most part, mainly because I'm raising a little girl and I want her to learn her profanity from her friends in first grade, not me.
But this guy is going to be the official WH communications director. Does he not understand why he shouldn't go off on profanity laced tirades? And more than that, public tirades against people in his president's own staff? They really need to handle this mess behind closed doors.
I'm just appalled at this point, and I'm not really surprised that Trump would appoint someone like this, but for all those who kept holding out hope that Trump would be more presidential, well here, here ya go.
Maybe this guys actions might turn away some of your evangelicals? Would they look past this kind of behavior for "the greater good?" 7/28/2017 9:02:15 AM |

Eh, he is honestly the least of my concerns. Decorum is dead and pointless anyway. Politicians shouldn't be role models or looked up to. That died officially with Bill Clinton. Scaramuchi is a glory hunter, that's it.
I'm more worried about a thousand other things.
^^ I struggle with Earl because he is right about a lot of things that are wrong with Democrats (which have been disseminated on here). That's why I don't default to trolling every post with him like JCE. But the Trump-genius stuff is just bizarre.

It is bizzarre because most people on the left could never admit that the leader of the other side is great. I might be the only person who can look for enough out of my own perspective to see it. Everyone else who sees it is a Trump supporter. Especially when he is singlehandedly destroying all of our goals and pushing the right's agenda forward and winning. People on the left have it in their mind that he is evil. It would be like saying "Bin Laden is a genius" in 2002. It hurts and is too soon to admit.

He also is likely in MASSIVE debt which is why he doesn't want his tax returns shown. No Russia nonsense but he is likely a fake billionaire.
But Earl falls for it again and again. Motherfucker up in here quoting Art of the Deal like he made his money in business." |
You are basing things fully off of wishful speculation. All sources report his net worth to be 2.9-3.5 billion. I guess forbes, fortune, bankrate etc have all fell for it again and again?

This is absolutely false. The government is the only organization I know that operates this way and that is why they retain awful, unmotivated employees aka "check collectors". In a good business, no employee believes he/she is "safe" and therefore busts their butt everyday. People inside the Trump administration have talked about how there is no sense of security and anyone can be gone tomorrow if they fail. Its called high stakes.

Nobody is arguing that firing incompetent employees is bad, but hiring an employee so incompetent he has to be fired 10 days later is not a sign of good leadership.

There is so much wrong with this. Well run businesses want low turnover. Turnover costs money and takes away from your core missions. leaders in good business try to make employees feel safe so that they bust their butts everyday, most people won’t go to work very long not feeling they’re safe.
Obviously you fire those not getting the job done, being detrimental to goals, etc...
If the trump admin was a well run business Mooch would have never even been hired, so much of his “problems” were demonstrated behaviors prior to joining. It’s clear trump had no strategy and was just flinging shit at the wall to see what sticks/is acceptable. In business and in government this is inefficient, in government this is just scary though.8/1/2017 12:13:05 AM |

Not when you're job is at the whim of someone who might wake up one morning and not like the way you look, and decide you're not getting things done.
And to reinforce what someone else said, turnover costs a business money. Maybe not at high levels like Scaramucci and Priebus held, but with high turnover, think about it - you're constantly training new hires to do the job. Perhaps they have a great background with the skillset you need, there are still adjustment periods with a new company. It takes HR time, etc. Low turnover is good. You just need to have the skill to hire good people. Sure there are BS interviewers that can get jobs they aren't qualified for, but come on, Scaramucci? He knew exactly what he was getting. Or should have known.8/1/2017 9:29:22 AM |

In any case, a business where everyone is undercutting and sabotaging each other to impress the boss is obviously going to be wildly inefficient. If you hire talented, hard-working people that nonsense takes care of itself. 8/1/2017 9:59:35 AM |

I'll go ahead and say I see nothing wrong with a merit-based immigration system. It has to have some sort of family caveat but in general you could build a broad base of support across multiple industries for that.
Where Trump and Miller go wrong is the massive reduction in green cards. The fact of the matter is Americans don't take the jobs migrants and immigrants do. Until that is solved you cant slash legal immigration in half.
Also, Steven Miller is really adept at dog whistle statements.
