There have been some pretty goddamn hilarious tweets about the reasons for his retirement. Between this and goodman saying NIL played a part in it, man, i am just laughing out loud.

It was pretty obvious when roy got all emotional and kissed the fucking floor that he was done. If i had to guess, I'd say kessler is transferring because roy is retiring, not the other way around.

UNC is gonna be fine no matter who they hire in all likelihood.

But man, if I was a UNC fan and they hire Hubert Davis I’d be really disappointed. Davis wouldn’t be a top candidate for any P5 CBB job in the country. He’s got 0 HC experience. And 0 experience on any other staff besides this UNC one. They’ll be fine. But what a boring hire imo.

As a state fan, I'm just glad they picked him over Wes Miller. I'll gladly take the unknown from a guy who has never been a head coach over a guy who has turned UNC-G into a legitimately good basketball team.

Considering events during his tenure, this is pretty rich from Roy Williams. "NCAA power says diminished" he says a few years after his school got away with decades of fraud and cheating by basically having their lawyers wave their hands and say "NCAA has no power here." And totally cool with defrauding athletes of an education, the only pay they were allowed, but pees in his pants when they get real money. A true bitch.
