Think so? I was thinking about Shelby being Drew Thompson but would he fit age wise? And I personally hope there isn't a big reveal that it is someone we know. I think the big reveal should be how much someone we know knows about the case and Drew Thompson. Something along the lines of Shelby is close with Drew and is actually working to keep him hidden by taking Boyd out.

I think he fits age wise, and they've been bringing up his character lately, so it seems plausible. plus that would be a good way to get him off Boyd's case with the Ellie May situation, since I don't see Boyd going back to jail after he did to get to get to Dickey and then get right back out

I don't think Shelby is Drew Thompson. Season 2 Shelby was working for Black Pike, season 3 he's a greeter at Wal-Mart before Boyd pulls him into his political agenda. I'm hoping it's a complete reveal for DT being someone we've never seen before.

I think Shelby is getting a lot of characterization because once it's revealed that he's housing Ellen May the writing is on the wall for his character. And if Ellen May's testimony is going to be a big part of the story as it's being lead to believe Shelby's subsequent death will need to hit harder with the viewers. Much more than say Trooper Tom.

yeah, I screwed that one up, too much Hillbillies growing up

with Winona gone (thank goodness), Ava's the last real female lead left (Rachel gets almost no screen time) so I hope they don't resort to killing her off for this whole Ellen May thing

and with Drew Thompson/Shelby, I'm not saying he is, but I won't rule it out either.

also, I hope Dewey Crowe and Limehouse show up at least once this season, but with Constable Bob running around, they've probably met their humor quota, so no Dewey

And I agree about Ava.. She too big of a female character/villain (sort of) for her to be killed off...in my opinion.

I think this season is lacking in good characters so far.. Colton isn't that great of a character and he's clearly going off the deep-end.

after a very quick youtube search, i've found one instance where they said "ellen" clearly (the one guy who was supposed to kill her)

every other time it was either "ellie" or "el"... the slackjaw accent doesn't make saying "ellen may" properly very easy.

Great episode. Bummed about Arlo but I guess they could only force him into so many storylines, had to happen eventually.

I was really worried something bad was going to happen to Boyd there at the end. I have a good feeling Johnny was out there making a deal for himself.

at this point they're making it TOO obvious Shelby is Drew. I pieced together a few things earlier in the season that made it plausible, but now they're flat out marking it with a big red X. I'm hoping for a nice twist next week

I could still see Shelby being drew thompson. I don't think they are making it that obvious to the casual viewer. I mentioned it to 3 of my friends who watch the show and they all hadn't thought of it yet.

Ehh I think it is pretty obvious they are pushing him as Drew. Someone I work with who is usually pretty dense when it comes to putting two and two together said it as soon as we started talking about the show this morning. Granted - the two of us had discussed him as one of the current characters it could be several weeks ago, so she might've had the idea in her head already.


All the same, I wish there was something more to the twist. I can't think of too many majorish characters it could be. I'd like to see something like Drew's widow actually is Drew post sex change or something crazy.

The guy posing as a deputy killing people really didn't waste time killing the people...

Yet, when he gets to Boyd's place, he puts him in handcuffs? Where was he planning on taking him? To Theo? Wynn? He should've just killed Boyd and Ava right there...

Does anyone think Art could be Drew Thompson? A couple of people at work seem divided over the issue. Some argue they're making it too obvious it's Shelby and think since Art has suddenly become interested in field work all of a sudden since this case came up it might be him.

But with the whole "wearing someone else's clothes long enough" line and other things I'm still leaning towards Shelby. Plus, hasn't Art mentioned his wife several times throughout the show? I think of Drew as more of a loner. And how would someone with Drew's past somehow rise to the ranks of Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal?

Whatever the outcome, can't wait for tonight's episode!!!
