my opinion is he is just proud of how hard we were hitting. not that there was an intentional "take their running back out" strategy.
but no matter what his true intentions were, what he said was definitely B.S. (saying it's a good thing taking out gallman and that it helped us) 10/24/2016 2:39:00 PM |

man I guess big 12 really felt they were at a disadvantage in the playoffs but having a championship game without even having divisions seems pretty stupid to me, they should have just added to two schools but obviously a few of the more influential schools managed to kill that for selfish reasons I suppose 10/29/2016 7:55:17 PM |

As expected, Nebraska lost. Ohio State struggled again this week, fortunately for them so did Louisville.
The big 12 is out after Baylor and WV both shat the bed.
Pretty easy to rank the top 4 this week: 1 - Alabama 2 - Michigan 3 - Clemson 4 - Washington 10/30/2016 11:14:31 AM |

Everyone knows now that these ranking systems are total BS and mean absolutely nothing they are there for water cooler and sports radio talk and to get people to tune in and thats pretty much it. They have proven over and over they are a total sham and they just throw random scenarios around to get people talking until the final week. 11/2/2016 8:29:00 AM |

TAMU has a better SOS, more wins vs ranked teams, and more wins vs teams with winning records. Washington got nothing. Seemed like a fairly straightforward result. And as others said, if Washington wins out, they'd leap frog TAMU. 11/2/2016 8:39:37 AM |

If they wanted to do this realistically they should simply be projecting out for the rest of the season if everyone wins all their games this is where we would expect them to be. We all know thats how it actually works so by not doing it then its pretty clear they are just intentionally trying to create talking points which is why a lot of us could care less what these things say we know how it works haha.11/2/2016 10:47:27 AM |

Everybody bitched, but the BCS was not actually a bad system. It avoided a lot of this stupid shit by taking people out of it. It got worse when they started doing shit like using the coaches poll. It was a remarkably good way of picking the 2 best teams.
This will all shake out fairly well, I'm pretty sure it's going to be an easy call for the committee when it actually matters. 11/3/2016 10:14:04 PM |

by TAM. was a joke to by #4 in the first place.
for selfish reasons, i'm interested to see how the committee handles the G5 spot. everyone assumes western michigan is in the drivers seat because of the undefeated record. but i think a 2 loss AAC champ has a legit shot at taking the cotton from an undefeated WMU. the difference between AAC and MAC is a lot bigger than that of the ACC and AAC. 11/7/2016 11:42:30 AM |

yeh. but it's never been advertised as such. it's always been clearly defined as how the teams rank to date, if the season ended today. It's cleaner than projecting, and like you said, provides those who want to talk, something to talk about. There's enough subjectivity in the process already; adding in projections would make every SEC and UNC fans' head explode.

^^but wouldnt ohio state just be in a coin flip tiebreaker in the event of a 3 way tie??
Quote : | "1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other. PSU eliminated 2. The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division. all same 3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, 6, and 7). all same 4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents. all same 5. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative. all same 6. The representative will be chosen by random draw. " |

I swear, if I have to hear about the "depth of the Big Ten" this week I'm going to throw up all over myself.
What a shit conference. 3 good teams, 2 wildly overrated teams, and a bunch of utter shit teams.
If we don't end up with Alabama vs. Louisville this year then we need to either scrap or expand the playoffs. Those are clearly the 2 best teams and Louisville might get left out of a 4 team playoff. 11/13/2016 12:56:00 AM |

That would be true if they didn't perform poorly against other power 5 teams almost every year. Their bowl record is almost never good and will be ugly again this season.
The big ten is the 3rd best conference this year but they get an undue amount of credit because the top is usually elite. The middle of that conference is just bad this year. 11/13/2016 11:12:41 AM |
