There you go, Jimmy V had a rape culture, so did Fulmer(didnt Peyton molest a nurse or sumthin'). Lets hire the dirty coaches, and most importantly enable them to WIN(unlike the Vols are currently doing lol)

lol

^na, just flashed is ass to a trainer (male) when she (the woman) happened to be in the locker room and she saw it. She saw asses all the time, just not one shown "on purpose". Once again, no where near what Briles did... or Mooreman

Anyways, back on topic, make a list of REALISTIC options if DD does get das boot

Dave Aranda, LSU
Mike Bloomgren, Stanford
Mario Cristobal, Alabama (shitty record but cant recruit his balls off in South Florida, Chuck Jr.?)
Chad Morris, SMU (would love him, knows the Southeast, lots of connections, brilliant offense)
Luke Fickell, Ohio State (may be too big for State)

If he will take it, my choice would be Morris easily

Jeremy Pruitt, Defensive coordinator Alabama. He's probably a couple more seasons away from getting an offer from a big name school. We might be able to snap him up early.

Yeah, this is Kiffin's "rehab/buffer" job. He's going to be at a big name school next.

Kiffin would be an ideal hire for Carolina

they'd overpay and he's a proven failure as a head coach

win/win

Dude is continually blaming the players for our failures. As far back as his first season, when he blamed the lack of depth. I am glad he is finally getting called out on it. From N&O:

most coaches do a great job of calling plays and almost all of what happens on the field is actually based on executing what you have practised. no coach chooses to run something that doesn't work.

with that said, player execution still falls under the responsibility umbrella of the head coach. especially from year 4 on.

Those quotes don't sound great, but Doeren repeatedly said "this one is on me" after the ECU game.

If the play had been successful, lots would say "great call! why don't we do that more often?!?!". But yeah, he should have played conservative at that point in the game.

sorry, but i don't think a fake chip shot field goal is the correct call in a game you're leading by one point. especially after you've already failed on a fake 2 pt conversion in the first half. those are boneheaded calls.

if you want to go for 2 to take the lead near the end of the game to try and win, fine. don't chase points in the first half. AND DON'T FAKE 28 YARD FGS NO MATTER HOW SHITTY YOUR HANDPICKED KICKER IS.

the fact that you shouldn't do it in that situation is the point. thats the element of surprise. i like our chances better just running a play but if you watch the replay, one missed block on the edge and he walks in.

Haha, the holder is so slow, there was no way he was scoring. ECU was able to blow up the play, because their coaches were better prepared and knew it was coming. It wasn't about a missed assignment. It was about ECU knowing exactly what was coming. There was no element of surprise.

and they would be wrong, because all calls of that nature are not the same.

situationally, that was a godawful call. he has a track record of making situational godawful calls.

"Dave Doeren, NC State

Original 2016 Status: It hasn't been great, but he's probably O.K.
Current Status: When Wake Forest becomes a must-win, you've got a problem.

The Wolfpack should be better than this. While the transitive property isn't always useful in college football, the fact that Virginia Tech just crushed the same East Carolina team that beat NC State two weeks ago does not bode well for Doeren. If the Demon Deacons—currently 4–0 and coming to Raleigh on Saturday—can beat the Wolfpack, a schedule that includes meetings with division rivals Florida State, Louisville and Clemson looks even uglier."

^while we're in this fantasy world, i'll bite.

if we go 12-1, losing only to ecu and beating FSU, @Clemson, and @UL i think we'd have a great shot at the playoff.

that ain't happening and it'd depend on how other things played out, but yeah we'd probably be in the playoff.

i mean...we're obviously not seriously considering the possibility that we win out.

tbh, i still think we go 6-6. should beat wake, bc, cuse. ND and FSU (especially ND) don't look quite as daunting as they once did. Miami at home could be winnable.
