intense episode with a lot of dark comedy laced throughout. my DVR skipped for a few seconds right when Colt and Mort turned to leave their sniper location. Had no idea Colt killed Mort there until I read a recap this morning. and Nicky Augustine was just vicious.

Probably for the best though, she's irritating. Also, her transformation from straight arrow that let Boyd stay in her house as long as he didn't run afoul of the law to the murdering madame with no scruples is .

The best part of the show is that nearly all the characters are capable of delivering them. They do a great job of putting them in dangerous situations where the humor can still come out.

The finale was awesome! Three people got shot in the first five minutes! This is hands down my favorite show. I bet Boyd is going to have that cop and that other guy killed for putting Ava in jail. Especially since he has a better job than before lol

I am not reading anything on this page, but after seeing this thread continuing to be bumped to the topic, and being a fan of Olyphant and his character in Deadwood, I decided fuck it I am going to give the show a shot. I started today and I'm already 4 episodes in and really enjoying it. Like Nighthawk I just picked this show up a few months ago and have been watching like mad to catch up, just finished last night.

This is definitely one of my favorite shows in the history of television, and Raylan is hands down my favorite TV character ever probably. Considering how much I love a few of the spaghetti westerns and the like I'm surprised I got this far in life without watching this show.

Thought this season was great and the finale was fantastic, though the Ava plot is kind of annoying for 2 reasons:

1) Ellen Mae, despite the late realization that Ava wanted her dead, clearly loves Ava, and if this comes to trial she is going to be there on the witness stand saying that she had just seen Delroy kill someone and knew he was coming after her to kill her. The only way to prevent that from happening was to kill him as he was armed, so Ava saved her life. Maybe she goes to jail, but not for the rest of her life. Hell, the show opens with her shooting her unarmed husband who is not threatening anyone's life and she doesn't see jail time
2) The whole "I need to do this alone" thing was clearly just a tool to get her arrested while struggling with the body

** Also, and sorry if this was covered in this thread, but did I miss an episode that transformed Napier from backwoods sheriff to suave swingers party operator?

It's tough to come up with the best lines of this show, since there are multiple candidates every episode, but my clear winner was Raylan pulling his jacket back (revealing his badge and gun):

"Well shit, I forgot to bring my knife"
