BTW i was never on a panthers bandwagon b.c i grew up in charlotte watching the panthers including plenty of seasons like infamous 2-14 2010 season, with Jimmy Clausen as starting QB, when Jerry Richardson sold out the team in preparation of the NFL player lock-out

Honestly he may be a better raw athlete and has had a better season than Russ Wilson. #3 though has still shown better consistency, better statistics, and imho is overall a QB than Cam Newton. In hindsight sure Cam would have been the better fantasy pick this year but if i had to choose a QB in 2016, Cam would not even be the top 3 in my list.

Cam may tie up Russ in super bowl rings this year but by the numbers Russ is better in nearly every category except overall rush yards (#3 actually has Cam beat by average yards per rush) and rush TD's which I think is more a function of Cam's ability to function more as a power rusher when in Seattle Russ is better off handing the ball to Beast Mode.

There hasn't been a QB that they can compare him to. He's right. The closest comparison is Wilson, but Wilson doesn't have the size/speed combination that Cam does. Cam can just bowl some people over when he runs the ball.

He is correct, he is a very unique QB. If you want to point out that race is part of that uniqueness, then go for it.

Guess from a "style" standpoint the best comparison is Big Ben. I was going more from his comments about his uniqueness and talent in relations to being a black quarterback which could be interpreted specifically to black dual-threat QB. In this case as a dual threat QB, Russ Wilson would be a valid comparison.

Cam has the size for sure, Russell has better speed numbers based on combine performance.
