Some good bands on the schedule (IMHO) but I'd love to hit that Life is Beautiful festival for the food alone. Alas, I have neither the vacation time nor the $ to be able to jet to Vegas this year.

Wife got me tickets for the Rock Allegiance Tour stop in Greensboro on 9/23/13. Been a fan of Volbeat since I heard them on XM like 5 years ago, when Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood dropped, so I can't wait to finally see them live.

Also, what kind of photo gear is allowed at a typical concert? I know everybody does cameraphone shots, but am I going to be told to fuck off if I try to bring my SLR and a prime lens to try and get some shots?

I don't think even Garth Brooks warrants a scheduled in advance mayoral announcement though, but that's about the best guess I've seen so far as to what it could be. I don't follow him, but I'm aware it's been awhile since he's toured and he did just do some TV special recently.

Seems like a lot of hype though for a one night only show even if it is him. If it's him I would assume the date and all that will leak well in advance of tomorrow's announcement.
