Florida state house voted on a motion just to CONSIDER an AR-15 ban. Survivors of the Parkland shooting were present. Was voted down 36-71, almost entirely down party lines. The republicans aren't even willing to debate it.

That's one state house that's sure to see a big swing in the next vote.

I can’t speak for what ^^ thinks but a lot of “hysteria” is people selectively picking on low-hanging fruit on twitter who accuse everyone of being in bed with Putin. Very little of this has actually happened with actually important people (though like with every issue there are some high profile idiots).

^rather than congressional delegates being apportioned according to population, they’ll be portioned by citizens (or maybe by voters only?). So regions with High non-citizen populations will have less clout than what they would have previously had.

It’s a way to keep some power for those red counties/states that have negative population growth.

It may also affect the way congress block grants to states (assuming some block grants are based on population)???
