I just got an airplane and need some help with a few things.
This is the one I got: http://www.hobbiconexstar.com/
First off I need some recomendations of a place to fly. The plane I have is pretty big, 5ft wing span. So I assume some clubs or what not have large open fields and people patient enough to teach me how to fly?
Also, what are the good RC websites? Is there a newegg for RC parts and such. Any recommendations? 8/4/2005 2:42:19 PM |

ever wonder why stealth fighters cant get shit for fuel-economy in the rain? its becuase they use active glow wing technology. you can build a mini-stealth jet yourself. others have done it. probably the gov. doesnt want you to know that.

does that plasma wing stuff accelerate air over its surface simply through passing it from one electro-magnetic field to another? 8/4/2005 3:49:37 PM |

I'm not. I went down there once just to check it out. There were several people down there. You had to walk a little bit (only members get keys for the gates). The land is from the forestry service I think so there are restrictions on what times they fly (night and weekends I think).
There were several people down there all friendly. I talked with them for a good while, I think 2 guys had planes they had built from scratch. I personally don't fly, but an out of town friend wanted to go check it out.
This is a good picture. Their runway goes straight out to the lake. You get plenty of open space. I couldn't comment on whether water is more forgiving than land though.
