currently on this one...still. this will be my last WOT book for quite some time, if not eternity.

that's because they're bad books. i enjoyed the first two, but after that they went down hill. too much detail. jordan manages to turn a 300 page long story into 1000 pages for a 10+ book serious. if i read one more derivation of "nyneave pulls on her braids in thought" i will cut myself.

The Lovely Bones is seriously one of the best books I've ever read

I'm interested to see what the movie's like.. but I know I'll cry like a bitch

Not this exact translation, though...

I'm actually surprised by how relevant it still is... a satire of "books of chivalry" from that era translates very well to a satire of the fantasy genre today.

Finished The Lies of Locke Lamora yesterday. Good book. Not 5/5 but a fun read.

i have never read dune. /hangs head
i'm about halfway through it, and it's amazing. ender's game/shadow are currently my favroite sci-fi, but i can tell dune will give ender a run for it's money by the end.

i didn't really like hyperion. that is more or less thanks to the way in which the story was told. we'll see how i like the sequel considering it's written in a more traditional sense.

i've been doing a lot of guilty pleasure NY times best seller reading lately haha.

i just finished:

kinda cheesy, but the sad parts were well done, i think. obviously the book had a happy cheesy ending, though. really easy read.

and now i'm reading:
