It appears there may be a ghost living in bragaw residence hall. in an attempt to find out the origin of its presence we have begun to investigate murders and suicides at ncsu. However, everything is covered up. upon questioning the "ask the librarian" over aim we learned of one suicide 14 years ago in the brickyard. Does anyone know any more?[b]

there is a ghost in bragaw. bed shaking and objects flying across the room between 1 and 5 am. Also, people wake up in a particular suite to the feeling of being stared at.

Do you know any more about the people who jumped?

Or the 1911 building ghost story?

haha hey Kristin. This is Chuan. Yeah I looked into this last year. A girl jumped off the library over a decade ago. Some claim that you can see the image of a person standing on top of DH Hill at night. A lot of people I know say they feel someone's presence in the bookstacks. I'm not sure what dorm the girl stayed in though. That will be interesting to find out.

The 1911 story is about hazing, back in the early 1900's upper classmen hazed freshman and apparently they tied/blindfolded a kid up to an unused portion of a train track that was close enough to still hear the train. The boy died of a heart attack thinking he was going to be hit by the train. The senior class that year decided to ban the practice of hazing freshman. The vote occured in 1911 so NCSU named the building after this historic vote (building was completed around the same time).

I want to say I remember two suicides on West Campus from my early years there--one jumper from Sullivan, the other off the fourth floor of Lee.

Only read about the Cox building one, dude jumped off 6th or 7th floor, splatted into that low area under the walkways, it was cleaned up real damn fast. Oh yeah, his name was Tyler Durden.

didn't one person jump off one of the high floors of sullivian but a tree broke their fall and they somehow survived. I remember hearing of this.

it was 98 - the body sat on top of the dumpster cover for 10 days before anyone noticed. He jumped the day the dorms shut for Xmas so no one was around to see the body until a repair worker saw it while working on teh building and looking down onto the body.

The first year Sullivan was opened the power lines were not moved yet. A kid decided to tie a chain of beer can tabs together and jump from the top of the building and swing around. THe RA's found out about it and were standing in the walk way waiting to stop him. Well he decided to jump out of his window facing the power lines and rail road tracks. When he jumped he went in between the lines and as soon as the chain of tabs touched the line it fried him.

There was a suicide by jumping at Sullivan in 98. The girl who lived down the hall from me got pregnant, and her boyfriend jumped out of Sullivan when he found out. He did it before she could tell him she had had an abortion.
