Ya gotta think the NIT doesent have the invite restrictions of the NCAA and they want to make $$.
Given the games to be played at the RBC and the potential for $$ making, I say that if we beat Duke we are in for sure. We still have a shot even if we lose. We have some big wins and a very strong SOS to boost our chances...

little of both... UT is a really fast, quick, but small team. If they are making a lof of their initial shots then a big team doesnt hurt as bad, but if they are slightly off, especially Lofton and JuJuan Smith, then a team with quality big men will kill them (Ohio State). And the other thing is their defense has been really good lately, especially forcing turnovers. They pretty much do a full court press 90% of the time.

The process for creating the initial "nomination board" will be closed. However, once closed, a team may be added to the nomination board only if it receives more than two eligible votes. A team may be removed from the nomination board if it receives all but two of the eligible votes. Verbal nominations are permitted. Remaining Ballots The committee will begin evaluating those teams on the nomination board. Each committee member will submit a listing of the best eight teams from the nomination board to be added to the field. Those teams receiving the most votes will comprise a pool of eight teams for the next ballot. Committee members rank the eight teams on the ballot using a cross-country scoring system (i.e., the best team is valued at one point). The four teams receiving the fewest points shall be added to the at-large field. The remaining four teams will be held for the next cross-country ballot. Steps No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be repeated until all probable berths are filled. If a team fails to be included among the four teams receiving the fewest points (Step No. 5) for two consecutive ballots, it shall be returned to the nomination board. A team may be removed from the at-large field by a vote of all but two of the eligible voters. Such a team would be returned to the nomination board. At any time during the process of selecting the teams, the committee may elect to begin seeding the teams. At any time during the process, the chair may suggest that the committee begin considering teams that should be eliminated from the nomination board. The same voting procedures will be used. At any time during the process, the chair may call for a cross-country vote of the teams remaining. The chair has the option to revise from four to two the number of teams to be moved into berths per Procedure No. 5. "
