Well, I would say the team that played those 4 games was very different than the team now. It's still going to be very very difficult, but I don't see us being a pushover.

Yesterday John Forslund was on NHL Live and they asked him to do a Chuck Kaiton impression. Oddly enough his impression was of Staal winning Game 7 in the dying moments.

Guess he wasn't at RDU last night....guess he hasn't been in the RBC Center the past month.

I wore my Canes jersey on Campus today. The only time I've been out is to walk to my exam and back...about 15 minutes of total walking. I've had 5 or 6 random people give me a nice "Go Canes" or comment on my jersey.

Some sporadic screaming was also heard around the dorms last night around 10

That's not what he is talking about. He is talking about the national hockey media. NHL Live mentioned it too this morning. If a guy like Staal was in New York or DC or Detroit or whatever, he would be an icon. A lot of people in the league have no idea where Raleigh even is.

Melrose is 100% on..we've been an afterthought this entire playoffs even though imbo this was the best series.

It's not going to get any better going up against an Alex O vs. Crosby series. In fact it will be so much worse. We'll be lucky to see highlights on espn no matter what happens in the series.

i can tell you i felt like i was on something today... this morning i was tired but i literally buzzing throughout the morning, into the afternoon.

i think it was mainly because i didn't watch it with anyone so i didn't really have any outbursts of emotion other than initially. being in the arena gets it out real quick

yeah, no kidding. I drove from the New Jersey/Delaware border to practically the Virginia / NC border. while the other two people slept... something like midnight-ish to 7am

ohh...then when I got back in town it was shower/work. Still haven't slept!
