The lexus has a rock chip in the windshield. The thing is, there wasn't a car in front of me! There was a dump truck 2 lanes over in the far right lane (I was in the far left) and quite a ways ahead (I'd guess 10 car lengths if I were directly behind him). WTF >_<

I've owned it for 2 years and just want to move on. It also feels really really slow to me. It was fun for awhile but the forced induction options are just too expensive. if i could get a good deal on a roots blower I would consider keeping it.

they're only adequate until you get them on the big lobes of the cam...then they're pretty decent, but still not what I'd call "fast" by any means. still great sports cars, though.

I'll put it this way. It's a great car for when you WANT to drive fast. Its horrible from 1st gear forward if you shift early. The moment you short shift first its pretty much unbearable from an acceleration stand point. When does vteeeeeeeeeeec engage in 2nd gear? something like 40-44mph? Up to that point it pulls worse than the van i'm currently driving.

It has been reliable and decent on gas. Mid life crisis old people are always asking me questions about it too which is getting kind of old. You would think I could get one of them to buy it!

yeah, i think that's a fair assessment. it just doesn't personally bother me that it's gutless until you thrash it.

I dont know if I would get anything to replace it. I would like to drive a CTS-V at some point (Big V8, cheap, whats not to like?). I would also consider an old 4 door m3 if it was cheap enough. I could just buy a 1000-1500$ civic and use that as a backup. I wouldn't do that until my other one blew up though. I already bought one and sold it because i had no drive to fix it and no need for it once fixed, lol.

^^ Yeah , no kidding!

OK...... go buy a carbon fiber snorkel and a loud ass exhaust for 6hp.

You could turbo your integra for a grand and rip the s2000s doors off.

^^while that may be true I'll met you another $1000 that the extra power will break something else on the car...immediately.

^I knew what I was getting into, the question was 1/2 joking.

Just the same though, I'm at a point in my life where I can afford a car that doesn't have to be launched at 3,000 rpm for a peppy start JUST b/c the A/C's on

Also.....its pouring rain outside b/c of a Tstorm.

checked the weather forecast (20% chance of storms) - CHECK
checked the interactive radar map (nothing hundreds of miles around) - CHECK
just finished washing car, and it started to rain.

Just not my day

lol...280k miles and I haven't done anything resembling "regular" maintenance. More like replace when something's clearly off

However just about every part of the suspension has been replaced, lost count of how many axles I've gone through, and I've got Koni shocks. It's the suspension bushings that need replacement (they're original).

^you try to do regular maintenance on your car while parallel parked in Manhattan or Queens...as well as have nowhere to put your tools.

When I got back to NC I pretty much said to hell with it and bought the new car

jesus, they're not slow at all. you just have to keep it revved waaaay up to make it go.

i mean, they're adequate below 6k rpms. No more, but adequate. They aren't crazy fast or anything above that, but they're plenty strong to be a good sports car--they just require for you to keep the engine in the top third of the tach where the power lives.

[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 12:57 AM. Reason : my Comptech one wasn't much better...it just pulled a good bit harder when the power finally arrived]
