I, too, liked Horowitz but it was pretty fucked up what he did to Jimmy's wife. If anyone killed him, I'm glad it was Harrow.

I feel pretty bad for Van Alden too even though he was almost the villain in the first two seasons. It will be interesting if he starts working for the florist dude.

I'm thinking that Owen is gonna tell Margaret of Nucky's cheating in order to get her in bed again.


Good start to the season though, this show always delivers.

I liked how Harrow shot Manny in the eye, probably in a similar fashion to how he lost part of his face.

awesome season premiere. glad Horrowitz got what was coming to him. i'm intrigued by this new villain we were introduced to. looks like he will be causing a lot of trouble for Nucky and others.

Great episode. The introduction of Rosetti as such a diabolical asshole somehow makes me like the other gangsters like Rothstein and Capone a lot better whereas I didn't before.

Horvitz murder was done nearly the same way as the failed hit in Philly from last season: shotgun to the face as he opened the door, only this time Harrow succeeded.

I mean I liked Jimmy's wife but Jimmy really screwed over Horowitz. First he decides not to repay him, just for the fuck of it. Then he tries to have him killed. Wasn't like Horowitz just decided to go kill Jimmy's wife out of the blue. The original comment made it sound like Horowitz was the one in the wrong.

Anyways...next week's ep is looking good based off the preview.

Van Alden fascinates me. I can't wait to see what direction he goes. Also, he's trying to hit on the European chick. Will not work. Obviously he will have a major story line with Capone/Chicago guys at some point with Cicero his location.

Horowitz (sp?) probably had it coming but I like how they show a soft side of him immediately before he is eliminated.

She, the nanny, was holding a son whom was not sleeping through the night as van Alden was previously told by her--"he still gets hungry occasionally." It was implied that Abigail, daughter of his and the prostitute, whom was sick, was asleep in the crib.

I was also glad that harrow killed Horowitz. I wonder why he waited so long though. Seems like Tommy's lack of memory of Angela was what struck that nerve.

I think Nucky and Margaret's marriage is for public show at this point. I got the impression that he doesn't sleep in the house at all and just pretends to be affectionate for her when other people are around. Donating billions of my money away would piss me off a bit.

I think she's resisting Owen because she's trying to be moral, not because she's worried about Nucky.

I think it was just a reference to the fact that Rothstein doesn't look or act like a typical gangster. Gyp Rosetti is a ridiculous character.

What was the deal with Nucky and Rothstein when they were talking about the delivery date? Rothstein said that deliveries are on the fourth of every month and Nucky said "That's tonight" and then was "corrected" by Rothstein -- what was that all about?
