This thread makes me think about my own conduct on tdub. I hope to learn from this and be a better person. Seems like we could all learn that from here.

I feel like he plagiarized "Hello world." Anyone else get that feeling? How about you Visual C++, do you get that feeling, too?

even after reading every word of this thread, including God's long peace out, Ernie's eloquent rebuttal, and Shadowrunner's damn near literary response, i still believe the internet is fake and my actions have no consequences

if i could change i would

Aptly for this thread, I figured God would have originated the phrase on The First Day.

Compared to a lot of past and present members on this forum, you're a fucking saint.

My opinion: Don't post here like you would on Something Awful. It's different when you know people irl.

I enjoy teasing people and being sarcastic and I will continue to do it because I enjoy it. However, I don't believe TWW hates me for it or that they should. I guess it can be difficult for some users to know where to draw that line. As a result, I actually try to stay away from topics on TWW that I deeply care about because of the trolling. Furthermore, I try not to pick on people where they may be vulnerable. I would never want to bring pain to someone whether it is irl or on the internet unless they genuinely deserved it. However, this is just The Wolf Web and the internet shouldn't be taken too seriously. I don't want to stand around in a circle and sing "Kum Ba Yah" with you people. So continue with the sarcasm and asshole remarks, but only for the lols. Now back to Chit Chat I go.

dude, i won't lie...i'd feel REALLY bad if he did actually off himself

but he doesn't strike me as an offing-himself kind of guy...i think he actively enjoys attention too much

i'd say the most likely scenario is that he was set to go on vacation anyway, and thought this would be a good way to get consistent attention while not actually being here

I, too, think the "most likely scenario" was that he was going on vacation and figured the best way to get the attention-bomb rolling was to get ShadowRunner to call him out and have everyone flame him for a week preceding his vay-kay. And then post this thread, obviously.

Or maybe he just felt bad. Nah...

^ no, even that is too much thought on his part...he's not SMART, just an attention whore

he got called out and when he realized he was getting slammed for being the douchebag that he is, he took the opportunity to make THIS thread before disappearing for a week (which he was going to be doing, anyway)

that's my guess, anyway

"fault" is used entirely too much

it's someone's "fault" if they push you in front of a bus...it is not their "fault" if they said some things that they did not know an unstable person would handle badly

it's arguable if it's someone's "fault" if they knew saying certain things would likely lead to certain events because people are, for the most part, responsible for their own actions

Whatever happened, happened? Wait, who said what to whom and what happened because of what was said? Whatever.

You can't really blame yourself (to a point) for indirectly causing a person to harm themselves. If someone is obviously at a low point, though, it's a little cruel to give them an extra push.

I wonder what it says about me that:

- I didn't notice that God was a particularly mean person
- I didn't notice that people particularly hated him
- I didn't notice that Shadowrunner's thread was hurtful in any way... FFS, he just copy-pasted

I don't think its wrong to be a little harsh on TWW. This is our milieu. A lot of people call me a troll, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've deliberately trolled someone in the past year.

I really dislike this misconception people have that anytime you disagree or talk negatively about someone, you're "trolling". To me, trolling is something disingenuous: you don't really care about the subject or the other person, you're justing trying to fish out a certain reaction.

^^I think it's a reputation you earned that began with the whole fake suicide alias debacle.

That said, I agree that often times what people claim is trolling is just someone being a dick.
