if i was blinging i'd only buy cheese from the fancy section of the grocery store.

or from the fresh market

but you go there and pick up like a 1 inch piece of cheese that is $15. i want to, but that is too much for me. maybe when i'm rich and famous.

That is the best section.

Once I made the mistake of offering to make french onion soup for a group of 10 people..... little did i know just HOW MUCH gruyere cheese cost..... I think i had over $20 in cheese.

Now that i think of it, fuck the expensive cheese aisle!

Have you ever made Raclette? You should try it some time.

Raclette is really popular here. I wanna try it but I don't want to invest in the stuff unless I know I like it. Basically you need a special electric grill thing to heat the cheese and the scrapers. And a giant wedge of raclette.

I'm Asian and I have a neutral disposition towards cheese. I do not hate it, nor do I love it. But if the opportunity presented it self of free cheese and gourmet crackers, I will eat.

I'm not saying all asians hate cheese but a much larger percentage of asians are lactose intolerant compared to other ethnicities. Also you almost never see cheese in asian recipes/dishes.

I would believe our diet is more or less based on what food our culture can get easily, like rice; not a lot of cows in the country side of China. Unless you think you can make cheese from cat or dog milk... But that's like

They have plenty of water buffaloes (bubalus bubalis) though, and they make perfectly acceptable cheese.

No, you don't 'need' any of that fancy equipment.

Well since you have like a trillion women, and mostly in the country side, you can easily get human milk to make human milk cheese

Seriously though, I don't see what's wrong with cat's or dog's milk cheese... just because it isn't done doesn't make it any weirder than making cheese from cow's, sheep's, or goat's milk.

And why aren't pigs milked for human consumption, whether commercially or on a small scale by individuals? China and Europe are crammed full of pigs. And so is the US. Is it because they are considered 'dirty'? If so, how is their meat OK for consumption?

I had baked Brie for dinner.

I am inclined to agree with the title statement.

You do realize China has had the one daughter policy for a very long time... There's easily 10x more men than women in China.

You mean one child policy, not one daughter.

And China doesn't have 10 times more men than women. No country does.

Sex distribution: male 51.53%; female 48.47% (2007)

At birth: 1.11 male(s)/female (2007)
Under 15 years: 1.134 male(s)/female (2007)
15–64 years: 1.057 male(s)/female (2007)
65 years and over: 0.914 male(s)/female (2007)

Total population: 1.06 male(s)/female (2007)
