Basic rules and info for the pvp area:
~The pvp area is located beneath town, inside the no-build zone. You will not be able to add or remove any blocks.
~There is only 1 way in. The entrance is in the subway.
~There are chests all over the area. Some contain things that are more helpful than others.
~Other characters are not the only thing that can kill you...

~No outside items allowed. Leave EVERYTHING in your vault or base. I will not help you if you lose something valuable... I might actually laugh at you...
~No warping (home, vaultwarp, etc)
~Don't keep any of the items you gather while inside.
~Last man standing is the winner.

Saturnine can set up vaults, bedrock encased rooms that you can warp to. Your private little storage area.

You're welcome to grab cobblestone and dirt from the crates all over my base (NE of town according to the google map). At least then I'd be contributing something...lately a lack of creative ideas has interfered with my minecrafting (school doesn't help either).

I would say don't take it all, but the odds that you'll go to every scattered dirt/cobblestone crate in my complex is pretty slim.

Now that I've gone as tall as I can go on multiple occasions I'm just at a loss for big, impressive builds.

The only reason you would be getting outdated server would be if you were loading the current version of minecraft, the one to which our server is outdated. Make sure you are starting MC through the 3rd party client loader. If you are... then I don't know.

euro, i left a chest buried in the ground area your area with some cobble. was goign to leave more, but invisible mobs were fucking me up. Feel free to go into my base via the entrance closest to iron road. You'll find plenty of cobble.

Well just got back from a month long vacation in Africa and logged back in yesterday. You guys have been BUSY!

I just completed the first section of the main above-ground entrance to my island, here's a couple of screens:




But I also ran across something REALLY weird in my main mine. I was clearing lava to light the cartouche on the main entrance, and I found this under the lava:



It's like a Herobrine workshop. There was no monster spawner in there, which is the only place I've ever seen moss covered cobblestone, and the storage box contained items that don't exist in the current SMP (fish, unmined coal ore).

I gotta get back into this game. The last time I played it was shortly after the biome update. Did they ever fix the following bugs that were introduced in that version:

1) Random lag - I never experienced that before
2) Snow covered areas but no new snow, so once the snow was cleared it was gone
3) I think I also experienced a few random crashes to the desktop

Also, they ever do anything with some of the portal issues they were having. It's been too long, so I couldn't quote what those issues were. Something about using portals for quick travel, but the portals not matching up or sending you on an unintended loop.

Update:

Pirate, the control panel is online, you just have to use the server IP instead of the domain name.

The new mod has finally gotten to the point where I think I can switch it over, and there are substitutes for all the important mods with the exception of the vaults. I have been trying to learn to code plugins for the new system, and the vault system seems like an easy concept. I may be able to port it over.

I am going to start working on getting all the plugins and mod stuff set up, then I'll update the server to the newest version with all the updates. It might take me a bit, but I want to be sure there aren't any issues after it's running.
