Creepers only do damage underground below a certain level, Saturnine set this to keep buildings from getting fucked up

Sorry about the lack of updates. Dealing with some scheduling issues at school right now. I'll enable TNT when I get a chance. Be careful though, if anyones' shit gets blow'd up I'm likely to stand back and laugh heartily. :p


Does anyone have an idea for another sort of server I could run? I've toyed with the nether idea, but it is largely pointless the way it would have to be implemented. I've got a CS server running right now, but if anyone has something they'd like to play on a regular basis let me know.

Any reason for disabling the nether region? I think it would be cool to get access to the lightstone and other nether goodies.

^^ It doesn't work in multiplayer. You can run another server with nothing but nether, and use plugins to "link" the inventories. Overall it's pretty much useless. The economy system will be running by next weekend, with sales NPCs for lightstone and such.

CS1.6 and CSS are quite popular and easy to setup. TF2 as well. Ive run both CS servers before for ncsu's MGC, and probably will redo my 1.6 again when I get into my new apartment in a few weeks. Feel free to PM me if you want any more info on them.

^^ Got CS running already. I've had tons of experience running hlds and srcds games. I just don't know what people in this particular community are more interested in playing. If you want to help run one that'd be cool. Just let me know which game.

^ Pirate did that I think. The ironic thing is that the minecarts are broken again thanks to some chunk issues notch missed with the last release.

So shit's fucked as per usual. I'm waiting a bit to see if the server mod will be updated. The team that used to update it is working on a new project, but the new project isn't ready. They might update the old one in the meantime, but we'll have to see.

The DNS server is shitting itself atm. I have a ticket in to fix it, but the map probably won't work until it's done.


For now use: 64.94.238.157 to connect to the server.



The patch should let you login fine. The nifty client mod stuff is just a side effect.

I know it goes away after a while, but mine never even appeared like it should have. It was just gone, so I lost a ton of shit I was building with and some diamond tools.

yeah, i've never had it show back up. if it did, i didn't notice because you respawn in a different spot than where you got killed so i immediately go back to punching trees and starting over. you'd think i'd learn to store some tools in a chest so i don't loose everything.

Run a memtest. when I started playing, minecraft kept randomly rebooting the machine. Sure enough, bad memory. Apparently nothing else taxes your RAM quite like a good game of minecraft...

yfeah's Haunted Mine, Mob Grinder, and Spleef Arena!

Elevated and enclosed walkway for your safety just off of the Obsidian Road. (334,333 if you have the waypoint client running.)

Please let me know if you run the haunted maze as it requires a manual reset each time.

If you are collecting items at the mob grinder and only need one of the item drops, just leave the other items in their respective chests conveniently located at the collection point.

For the spleef arena, use diamond shovels. If there are 3 or more players, one can be the controller and open the iron doors for a synchronized start. Controls are located beneath the arena. Extra dirt is available in each staging chamber to reset the floor (if you use it, please rebuild it).
