When Cena walked out, the place went completed and totally crazy with heat. I haven't heard boos like that since the nWo days.

Gonna be pretty cool to have Bryan Danielson and CM Punk as the top titleholders in WWE

Now if they'd only get a working tag division

If I stopped watching because I was tired of it being a drama about the McMahon family, do you think it would be ok for me to come back now?

All the McMahons are gone except Vince, but there is a good chance that they'll kinda be redoing the Austin/Vince storyline with Cena or Punk. So if you hate intra-McMahon drama, it's probably ok, but if you hate seeing all McMahons in general then maybe not.

^^^^ Do we consider Triple Haitch a McMahon now? I could see him showing up tonight to take exception to being called a doofus.

Kudos to Vince for getting everything right last night, though. Aside from the models' match (without Nattie or Beth, I won't call it women's wrestling), the whole show was awesome.

Botch machine Sin Cara has been suspended for a drug violation, so I think that'll be the end of him.

Nah, Cara is only suspended for 30 days. They put way too much money in him to drop him that easily.

The first suspension is always 30 days. I say he's done.

They've got no one who can work with him, he fucks up all the time, they push him like crazy and he's still not over, and now he's breaking wellness policy.

I enjoyed the sign last night that said, "Sin Enough Cara."

He's way too popular already for them to just get rid of him. They need to either just bump him down to FCW or find some guys on the main roster who can still work the lucha-style and let him work with them. The biggest problem they have is that he can't go against Mysterio and Chavo is gone.

People keep telling me he can't go against Rey but no one's given me a decent reason why.

Because there's pretty much no way to turn Mysterio heel and unless you stick Cara with a mouthpiece, there's no real way to make him a heel.

And they don't really do the whole manager thing these days (excluding Vickie), so that's pretty much out the window too.

Cara can work with:

Mysterio
Evan Bourne
Daniel Bryan
Justin Gabriel

and maybe Dolph and Kofi.

Considering he's over with the kids, that leaves Dolph and Gabriel, because none of the others are turning heel anytime soon.

Since he's HHH's first acquisition, I think they may give him one more shot, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone by the end of the year.

Rey doesn't have to be a heel (although he sure as hell got treated like one last night). They could run a program around his insecurity with a new, push-worthy luchador in the company and have him be the moral, struggling face in a face/face battle.

I know that's not ideal, but it's bound to be based in reality, and Rey is the only person in the company who can fully exploit Sin Cara's style.

From what I understand, they're bringing in a Mexican dude called Averno specifically to work with Sin Cara. Not sure how long that will be delayed with the wellness violation, though.

FWIW, Observer article just popped up in the last hour that suggests he won't be brought back.

With that said, it's the Observer.

Ok, more specifically, the intra-McMahon stuff bored the shit out of me. I don't care about Vince trying to torment Linda or Vince strutting around with his cock out or Shane's pro wrestling dreams, unless he's going to be a real full-timer and not just some gimmick bump machine.

HHH is different since he actually bothers to work (or does he suck now?).

I get that the Mr. McMahon character draws heat, but the way I started seeing it around 2001 or so was akin to Mark Cuban inserting himself into the lineup. But if he wants to get beat up, that's fine. Just don't put yourself over the talent.

So is CM Punk like Brian Pillman with a ton more heat or something? That a fair comparison?

I'm going to say "no", because I'm unaware of a time when Brian Pillman didn't suck.

Punk is actually a good wrestler who is good on the mic, which is a rare breed these days.

Is my boy Chris Jericho still wrestling? I haven't watched in forever (except for Wrestlemania this year, friends bought it and invited me over)

I love that guy, I'd always liked him but he kicked it into overdrive during the feud with Dean Malenko when Jericho claimed he was "The Man of 2,000 Holds" and when he listed them out every other one was "Arm bar"

I quit watching during the stretch where HHH kept the title. I watched so many pay-per-views waiting for him to lose, and finally I was like fuck it. I guess banging Vince's daughter has perks.

I didn't know adults were still in to WWE with the way it was going, linda is prob running for congress again and may win so that pretty much means it's going to be mostly kiddie cardboard stuff for a long time still as well, I tune in occasionally when I'm bored and I thought that sin cara guy had a great debut, punk winning the title is a good sign but with cena still being the main guy in company I doubt the crap will ever change

Trips fired Vince tonight. According to Sean Waltman (X-Pac/123 Kid), he got a text from Trips that it was for real earlier in the night. That dude is a lying motherfucker, but he could be correct because Trips has been running the show from Gorilla position for months.

Waltman is trying his hardest to politic into an agent or producer role, so anything he can do to help Hunter further a storyline, he'll do.

I have a feeling that if I did start watching again, I'd find new reasons to be disappointed. I have a feeling Triple H is worse than Ole Anderson and Bill Watts combined booking shows.

The biggest thing about last night is that it was a damn wrestling show. Sure, some promo action and some drama thrown in, but a two hour show with seven matches and the promise of a nice main event next week. Whether or not they have figured out that the wrestling fans who are still around enjoy wrestling shows remains to be seen, but between the quality old school show on Sunday (an abdominal stretch?!) and the feel of Raw, I'm excited about watching regularly for the first time in years.

the last main event I watched was jericho's last match vs orton, I thought it was actually entertaining but I guess that was pretty much the last main event without cena involved so no surprise

^^but most of the matches were awfully short. I'd have rather seen the tournament drawn out over 3 weeks rather than crammed into one.

I dunno what they thought, booking him against Heath Slater of all people. Shawn Michaels himself wouldn't be able to pull a watchable match out of that ginger hack.
