Has anyone addressed how stupid this statement was? Illegal immigrants pay taxes, very often at a much higher rate than Mitt Romney. Shit, when they use ITINs or buy SSNs, they are paying taxes into programs like SS that they aren't even eligible to benefit from. Not only that, this change in policy is aimed at the younger immigrants... so did anyone ask YOU to pay back taxes when YOU were a kid?

Hey dipshits who want to report all the illegal immigrants:

This will be the next forever quagmire like the war on drugs. There's no way we're going to stop illegal immigration or deport everyone. Its just going to be a complete money pit.

Two, most illegal immigrants work for companies that pay payroll taxes, which means their federal and state taxes are withheld automatically, so they are paying taxes. The VAST majority of illegal pay full income tax, and pay SS. Yet very few actually use any of the services they pay into.

Three, if you deport all these folks, it will destroy most of the remaining agricultural industries in this country. Have a read about what's happened to farmers in SC, Arizona and even here in Washington state. As soon as these tough immigration laws are passed, the migrant workers leave and crops literally rot in the fields because no one else will do the work to pick them.

Get off your high horses and wake the fuck up. They can't legally immigrate because it's almost impossible to do so. There are what, 100,000 H1b work visas issued yearly and the tech industry uses almost all of them. Hell Bill Gates had to go to congress every year to beg for them to just maintain the number given.

And it takes thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of work to get a single worker sponsored and into the US legally. Something that migrant workers can't afford and neither can the employers that need them. What's needed is reform of the laws, and deporting the idiots in congress, not the folks who just want to do honest work.
